LiftMaster 363LM 5-Pack 3-Button Digital Remote Control Replaced by 894LT 4-Button
This product is a 5-pack replacement listing for older LiftMaster 363LM three-button digital remotes using the current LiftMaster 894LT four-button learning remote family. The page is written this way because many customers still search by the discontinued 363LM number, while the service replacement path commonly points to the 894LT style learning remote. The important point for the buyer is that this is not just a generic remote by shape; it must match the receiver technology, the learn-button family, and in some gate/community applications, the type of code being copied from an existing transmitter.
The 894LT gives the customer four independently programmable buttons. That is useful when one vehicle needs to control several compatible access points, such as a garage door opener, a gate operator, a commercial receiver, or a shared access receiver in a gated community. Each button can be taught separately, so a technician can often set one button for a newer Security+ 2.0 opener and another for an older Security+ receiver, as long as the target receiver and code family are supported.
For older 363LM replacement situations, the safest way to present the product is as an 894LT replacement-family remote. It is commonly associated with older LiftMaster and Chamberlain branded DIP-code access transmitters and selected Security+ systems, but the old remote number alone does not prove compatibility. Customers should check the learn button color on the opener or receiver, the old transmitter model being replaced, and whether the system is controlled by a property manager or access-control company before ordering multiple remotes.
Compatible With
This remote pack may be used with the following compatible product families and applications when the receiver and programming method match:
- Older LiftMaster 363LM search/replacement applications where an 894LT learning remote is the accepted replacement path.
- LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Sears, and Craftsman compatible Security+ 2.0 systems with yellow circle learn button technology.
- Security+ 315 MHz systems commonly identified by a purple learn button or purple antenna wire.
- Security+ 390 MHz systems commonly identified by a red/orange learn button.
- Select LiftMaster and Chamberlain branded DIP-switch remote applications where the 894LT can learn or clone the existing supported DIP code.
- Compatible garage door openers, gate operators, and commercial access receivers where the receiver instructions support 892LT/894LT style learning remote programming.
- Common multi-access vehicle applications where one remote is needed for garage, gate, and community access, as long as each receiver is supported.
- Not intended as a universal replacement for every green learn button Billion Code opener, non-LiftMaster DIP product, or restricted managed-entry system.

Technician Note
Technician note: the 894LT is a strong replacement option when a customer needs multi-button access and the receiver technology matches, but it should not be sold only by old case shape. On site, identify the receiver, learn button color, and old transmitter code family before programming.
Before Ordering
- Confirm the old remote model is 363LM or a related compatible LiftMaster/Chamberlain remote family.
- Check the learn button color on the opener or receiver when programming directly to a motor unit.
- For community gates, confirm that new remotes can be added without property-manager restrictions.
- Do not assume a DIP-switch remote from another brand can be copied unless the 894LT instructions support that code type.
- Order the correct pack quantity so all vehicles can be programmed during the same service visit.
Professional Advisory
Professional advisory: remote programming should only be done when the door or gate is visible and operating safely. Do not stand in the path of a moving door or gate, and do not use a remote to bypass a required safety device, photo eye, edge, or monitored entrapment-protection system.
Product Questions & Answers
Is this 5-pack still a 363LM remote?
This listing is for customers replacing older 363LM-style remotes, but the active replacement-family remote is the LiftMaster 894LT four-button learning remote.
What systems can the 894LT work with?
The 894LT is used with compatible Security+ 2.0, Security+ 315 MHz, Security+ 390 MHz, and supported LiftMaster or Chamberlain branded DIP-code applications.
Will the fourth button work if my old 363LM only had three buttons?
The fourth button is available for another compatible opener, gate, or receiver, but it only works when that access product supports 894LT programming.
Can this replace a community gate remote?
It may be used in select community gate applications, especially where the existing supported remote can be learned, but managed communities may require permission or receiver-level programming.
What should I check before buying several remotes?
Check the old remote number, the receiver or opener learn button color, the radio technology, and whether the access system allows customer-added transmitters.
