Linear 2110-312-BT Welded Rail Arm Assembly
The Linear 2110-312-BT is a replacement welded rail arm assembly used with select Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operators. This part is the welded rail section of the gate arm assembly and is commonly used when the existing rail arm is bent, damaged, worn, or no longer supporting smooth gate travel.
On a VS-GSWG swing gate operator, the arm assembly connects the operator to the gate and transfers movement from the operator drive system to the gate leaf. A damaged rail arm can affect gate alignment, chain travel, sprocket engagement, and overall movement through the open and close cycle.
This part should not be confused with the complete gate arm assembly. The 2110-312-BT is the welded rail arm component only. Related hardware, covers, chain, sprockets, guides, brackets, and gate attachment hardware may be separate depending on what is being repaired.
Common Use Cases
- Replacing a bent or damaged welded rail arm on a Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operator
- Repairing a VS-GSWG gate arm assembly after vehicle impact or gate strike damage
- Correcting mechanical wear in the rail section of the gate arm assembly
- Restoring proper arm tracking when the original rail is distorted or no longer straight
- Replacing the rail portion while reusing confirmed-good sprockets, chain, rail guides, and related arm hardware
Compatible With
The Linear 2110-312-BT is commonly associated with the standard 78 inch gate arm assembly used on select Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operators.
- Select Linear VS-GSWG swing gate operators
- Select OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operators
- VS-GSWG standard 78 inch gate arm assembly applications
- Linear / OSCO 2110-648 complete 78 inch gate arm assembly, when replacing the welded rail section only
Important: This part is for the standard 78 inch VS-GSWG arm configuration. Some VS-GSWG installations may use a non-standard 63 inch arm assembly, which uses different arm-related part numbers. Always verify the original arm assembly before ordering.
Not Intended For
- Non-standard 63 inch VS-GSWG arm assemblies unless confirmed by parts diagram
- Linear / OSCO SWG, SWC, SWD, SWR, SLR, SLC, SLD, HSLG, GSLG, or other operator families unless specifically verified
- Gate operators that require a complete arm assembly instead of the welded rail component only
- Installations with a bent gate, sagging hinge post, damaged gate bracket, or binding gate that has not been corrected
- Universal swing gate arm replacement applications

Technician Note
Before replacing the welded rail arm, inspect the entire gate and arm assembly. A bent rail is often caused by impact, a dragging gate, worn hinges, loose gate brackets, a misaligned operator, or an obstruction event. Replacing the rail without correcting the cause can lead to repeat damage.
Check the rail guides, sprockets, chain, chain tension bolt, cover, gate bracket, and operator mounting alignment before putting the gate back in service. The chain should be routed correctly for the operator handing, and chain tension should be snug without being overtightened.
If the gate is hard to move by hand, out of level, sagging, or binding through its swing, correct the gate hardware problem before replacing operator arm parts. A gate operator should not be used to force a poorly moving gate.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The operator model is Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG.
- The existing arm is the standard 78 inch VS-GSWG arm configuration.
- The part needed is the welded rail arm component, not the complete 2110-648 arm assembly.
- The original part number, parts diagram reference, or damaged component matches 2110-312 / 2110-312-BT.
- Your installation does not use the non-standard 63 inch VS-GSWG arm assembly.
- The rail guides, sprockets, chain, chain tension bolt, and cover are reusable or being ordered separately if needed.
- The gate bracket and gate attachment hardware are present, straight, and suitable for reuse.
- The gate moves freely by hand and is not binding, dragging, or sagging.
Professional Advisory
This is a structural mechanical gate operator component. Installation should be performed by a qualified gate technician familiar with Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operators. Disconnect power and secure the gate before removing or replacing arm components.
Do not place hands, tools, or loose hardware near the arm, chain, sprockets, or gate path while the operator is powered. After installation, the gate operator should be tested for proper arm travel, gate alignment, chain routing, limit settings, obstruction response, and required safety device operation.
Never bypass required entrapment protection devices or use a replacement arm part to compensate for an unsafe gate installation. If the gate has impact damage, hinge wear, excessive wind load, or a structural alignment issue, correct those conditions before returning the operator to service.
Product Q&A
Is the Linear 2110-312-BT the complete VS-GSWG arm assembly?
No. The 2110-312-BT is the welded rail arm component. The complete standard 78 inch VS-GSWG gate arm assembly is commonly associated with part number 2110-648.
What operator is this welded rail arm used with?
This part is commonly used with select Linear / OSCO VS-GSWG swing gate operators using the standard 78 inch arm assembly. Verify the operator model and parts diagram before ordering.
Will this fit the 63 inch VS-GSWG arm?
No, not unless a manufacturer parts diagram specifically confirms it for your setup. The non-standard 63 inch VS-GSWG arm uses different related part numbers, including a different welded rail assembly.
Does this part include the chain, cover, sprockets, or rail guides?
This listing should be treated as the welded rail arm component only unless the product listing specifically states that additional parts are included. Chain, cover, sprockets, rail guides, and hardware may need to be ordered separately.
Why did my original rail arm bend or fail?
Common causes include vehicle impact, a binding or sagging gate, loose gate brackets, worn hinges, improper chain tension, misalignment, or the gate striking an obstruction. Inspect the full gate system before replacing the arm.
Should a technician install this part?
Yes. This arm is part of the moving mechanical linkage on a commercial swing gate operator. A qualified gate technician should verify fitment, install the arm safely, adjust the chain and limits, and test all safety devices after repair.
