Miller Edge LS-0101-200 Sectional Door Loop Seal Details
The Miller Edge LS-0101-200 is a 200-foot spool of flexible bottom loop seal extrusion for sectional overhead doors using the matching Miller Edge LS-0101 profile. The nominal 3-1/2-inch loop helps close the space between the bottom door section and the floor when the door is fully closed.
The long spool format is commonly suited for commercial door service departments, installation companies, warehouses, and facilities that need to cut replacement seals for multiple sectional doors. The extrusion can be trimmed to the required finished length at the job site.
What the LS-0101 Loop Seal Does
The loop seal installs in a compatible bottom retainer or seal channel on a sectional door. When the door closes, the flexible loop compresses against the floor to help reduce:
- Air movement beneath the door
- Visible light through minor bottom gaps
- Dust and loose debris entering the building
- Minor water and weather exposure at the threshold
- Noise caused by a hard door bottom contacting the floor
This seal can improve contact with minor floor irregularities, but it will not correct a severely uneven floor, bent bottom section, damaged retainer, or improperly adjusted door.
Compatible With
- Commercial sectional overhead doors using a compatible LS-0101 bottom retainer profile
- Residential sectional overhead doors using the same matching retainer profile
- Replacement applications where the original seal is identified as Miller Edge LS-0101
- Bottom retainers whose channel shape and installed dimensions match the LS-0101 extrusion
- Service operations requiring cut-to-length sections from a bulk 200-foot spool
Exact door-model compatibility could not be fully confirmed. Match the old extrusion, retainer channel, nominal loop size, and installed dimensions before ordering.
Important Retainer Compatibility Warning
Sectional-door bottom seals are not universal. Two products described as 3-1/2-inch loop seals may use different beads, T-ends, channels, or attachment profiles.
Do not order LS-0101-200 based only on the door width or the 3-1/2-inch loop measurement. Remove a short sample of the existing seal and compare its complete cross-section with the replacement profile. When the original seal is missing, inspect the door-bottom retainer and use the door or retainer parts diagram to identify the required extrusion.
200-Foot Bulk Spool
The 200-foot spool is intended to be cut into individual door lengths. The number of doors that can be serviced depends on each door width, trimming allowance, damaged sections, installation waste, and whether continuous unspliced lengths are required.
Measure every door separately before cutting. Do not assume that labeled door width equals the exact finished seal length. Avoid stretching the extrusion while measuring because it may contract after installation.
Comparison With Related Miller Edge Loop Seals
- LS-0101: Same 3-1/2-inch loop seal profile commonly offered in a shorter cut length.
- LS-0101-100: Related 3-1/2-inch LS-0101 loop seal supplied in a 100-foot length.
- LS-0101-200: Requested 200-foot bulk spool of the 3-1/2-inch LS-0101 profile.
- LS-0107: Different 7-inch loop seal profile. It is not automatically interchangeable with LS-0101.
- BS-0101: Bulb-style seal associated with compatible rolling steel door retainers rather than the LS-0101 sectional-door loop profile.
Similar Seals That Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
- Miller Edge LS-0107 7-inch loop seal
- Miller Edge BS-series bulb seals
- T-style sectional-door bottom seals
- U-shaped astragals with different retainer beads
- Rolling steel door bottom seals
- Pneumatic Air-Wave sensing-edge hose
- Electrically monitored sensing-edge extrusion
- Seal profiles with similar loop dimensions but different retainer ends

Required but Not Included
- Compatible sectional-door bottom retainer
- Retainer fasteners or replacement bottom bar
- Cutting and installation tools
- Manufacturer-approved installation lubricant when required
- End caps or retainers when required by the door design
- Monitored sensing edge or photo-eye equipment required by the operator
Not Intended For
- Rolling steel or coiling door bulb-seal retainers
- Retainers designed for LS-0107 7-inch loop seals
- Use as an electrical sensing edge

- Correcting a bent door bottom or damaged retainer
- Installation based only on door brand or width
Technician Note
Inspect the bottom retainer before installing the new seal. Rust, crushed channels, sharp edges, dirt, old adhesive, or displaced fasteners can prevent the extrusion from sliding evenly and may damage the new material.
Measure and cut the seal without stretching it. Install it evenly through the retainer and leave only the appropriate trimming allowance. A severely uneven floor may require door adjustment, threshold repair, or another approved sealing solution rather than a larger loop seal.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm that the required profile is Miller Edge LS-0101.
- Compare the complete cross-section of the old and new seals.
- Verify the nominal 3-1/2-inch loop size.
- Inspect the existing bottom retainer and attachment channel.
- Calculate the total footage required for all doors.
- Allow for trimming and reasonable installation waste.
- Confirm the physical spool label and -200 suffix.
- Verify the required color and material specification.
- Inspect the door bottom and floor for damage or excessive gaps.
- Confirm that required operator safety devices remain in place.
Installation and Safety Advisory
Secure the door against movement before removing or installing the bottom seal. Follow the door manufacturer service instructions and use proper lifting, blocking, and lockout procedures where required.
This weather seal is not an entrapment-protection device. Never remove, bypass, or substitute it for a monitored sensing edge, photo eye, reversal system, or other operator safety circuit.
A qualified commercial door or garage door technician should inspect the installation when the retainer is bent, the bottom section is damaged, the door is unbalanced, or safety-device operation is unclear.
Product Questions & Answers
What door type is Miller Edge LS-0101-200 used on?
LS-0101-200 is intended for sectional overhead doors whose bottom retainer accepts the matching Miller Edge LS-0101 loop seal profile.
Is LS-0101-200 a safety sensing edge?
No. It is a flexible bottom weather seal only and does not replace a monitored sensing edge, photo eye, reversing device, or operator safety circuit.
How do I confirm the LS-0101 profile will fit my door?
Compare the old seal cross-section, nominal loop size, retainer channel, door type, and installed dimensions. Door width and manufacturer name alone are not enough to confirm fit.
Can the 200-foot loop seal spool be cut to length?
Yes. Cut each section squarely to the required door width and avoid stretching the extrusion while measuring or installing it.
Does LS-0101-200 include the bottom retainer?
No. The listing is for the loop seal extrusion spool. The compatible aluminum or steel bottom retainer, fasteners, and installation tools are separate.
How many doors can be serviced from one 200-foot spool?
The quantity depends on each door width, trimming allowance, installation waste, and whether every door uses the same LS-0101 retainer profile.
What should be inspected before installing the new loop seal?
Check the retainer for rust, crushed channels, sharp edges, dirt, missing fasteners, and damage. Also inspect the door bottom and floor because a new seal will not correct major structural or threshold problems.
Can LS-0101-200 replace an LS-0107 or bulb-style bottom seal?
Not automatically. LS-0107 uses a different 7-inch loop profile, while bulb seals use another retainer shape. Match the complete extrusion and retainer profile before substituting seals.
