Miller Edge RB-P-K10C 10K/T2 RBand System Technical Details
The Miller Edge RB-P-K10C is a monitored wireless sensing-edge transmitter and receiver system for select motorized commercial door, garage door, grille, and automated gate operators. It is designed for use with a Miller Edge 10K/T2 monitored sensing edge.
The RB-TX10C transmitter mounts near the moving sensing edge and communicates wirelessly with the RB-P-RX10C receiver installed near the operator. This eliminates the moving coil cord or hard-wired connection that would otherwise have to travel with the door, gate, or sensing edge.
What the RB-P-K10C System Does
The transmitter monitors the connected 10K/T2 sensing edge and sends its status to the receiver. When the edge is compressed, disconnected, damaged, or develops a monitored termination fault, the receiver changes its output so the operator can provide its programmed stop or reverse response.
The receiver provides a photo-eye-style pulsed output through the PE1 and PE2 terminals. It also provides a normally open contact through the N.O. and COM terminals. Use only the output approved for the exact operator and control-board generation.
Compatible With
- Miller Edge 10K/T2 monitored sensing edges
- T2 sensing edges commonly identified by a blue band on the Miller Edge edge cable
- Select motorized commercial door and grille operators accepting the RB-P-K10C pulsed output
- Select automated gate operators accepting a compatible pulsed or normally open receiver output
- Systems providing constant 12-24 VAC/DC accessory power
- Applications using one to three compatible RB-TX10C transmitters on one receiver channel
Exact operator-model compatibility could not be fully confirmed. Verify the operator manufacturer, complete model number, production date, control-board part number, input type, accessory voltage, and current wiring diagram before ordering.
10K/T2 Sensing Edge Requirement
RB-P-K10C requires a Miller Edge 10K/T2 monitored sensing edge. Miller Edge commonly identifies this termination with a blue band on the sensing-edge cable.
Do not identify the edge termination by wire count or cable color alone. A DC/T3, 8.2K/T1, non-terminated, or non-monitored sensing edge is not automatically compatible. Measuring approximately 10K ohms across an inactive edge is a useful service check, but the exact edge construction and termination must still be confirmed.
Pulsed and Normally Open Outputs
- PE1 and PE2: Photo-eye-style pulsed output for compatible monitored operator inputs
- N.O. and COM: Normally open contact for operator inputs that permit this connection
- N/A: Not used in the standard RB-P-K10C installation procedure
The normally open contact is not automatically a monitored output. Where the operator requires monitored entrapment protection, use the pulsed output and connection method specified by the operator manufacturer.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not select RB-P-K10C only because the operator has terminals labeled photo eye, safety, edge, reverse, N.O., or monitored. Different operators may require 10K resistance, normally closed supervision, two-wire pulsed monitoring, four-wire pulsed monitoring, diode-capacitor monitoring, or proprietary communication.
The current Miller Edge commercial door compatibility guide states that RB-P-K10C is not compatible with LiftMaster Logic 4. Do not recommend this system for a Logic 4 operator based only on terminal appearance or an older wiring arrangement.

Technician Note
The advertised 100-foot wireless range is a maximum under optimal conditions. Steel door sections, operator enclosures, structural metal, nearby wireless devices, antenna placement, and lack of clear line of sight can reduce actual range.
The receiver should be mounted near the operator where the antenna remains in line of sight with the transmitter throughout the complete door or gate travel. The transmitter enclosure should not be drilled or modified because doing so may reduce its NEMA 4 protection and damage the electronics.
Replacing or adding a transmitter may require erasing the receiver memory and pairing every required transmitter again. Record all existing transmitters before clearing the receiver.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Record the operator manufacturer and complete model number.
- Identify the operator production date and control-board part number.
- Confirm that the operator accepts the RB-P-K10C pulsed or N.O. output.

- Look for the blue identification band on the Miller Edge edge cable.
- Measure approximately 10K ohms across the inactive edge as an additional service check.
- Confirm that constant 12-24 VAC/DC power is available.
- Verify the receiver and transmitter mounting locations and RF path.
- Confirm whether one, two, or three transmitters will be paired.
- Verify that the sensing edge, receiver mounting hardware, and field wire are available.
Installation and Safety Advisory
Disconnect operator power before wiring the receiver. Installation, pairing, wiring, programming, and testing must follow current Miller Edge instructions, the operator manufacturer manual, applicable electrical codes, and current door or gate safety requirements.
Never bypass a monitored input, jumper an entrapment-protection circuit, substitute a DC/T3 transmitter for a 10K/T2 edge, or use the normally open contact to conceal a monitored safety fault.
A qualified commercial door, garage door, gate, or low-voltage technician should complete the installation when the monitored input, receiver output, power connection, edge termination, or required safety response is unclear.
