Transmitter Solutions CLIPLUNA Luna Transmitter Visor Clip Compatibility Details
The Transmitter Solutions CLIPLUNA is a visor clip accessory for the Luna 318 MHz transmitter family. Transmitter Solutions currently lists a Luna 318 MHz Visor Clip within its transmitter product lineup.
This is a mechanical mounting accessory used to keep a compatible Luna transmitter accessible on a vehicle sun visor. The clip does not contain radio electronics and does not change transmitter frequency, programming, facility code, serial number, receiver compatibility, or button operation.
What the CLIPLUNA Visor Clip Does
The CLIPLUNA accessory provides a visor mounting option for a compatible Luna transmitter. It is useful when the transmitter is normally kept in a vehicle and the user prefers visor-mounted access instead of carrying the Luna remote as a key chain transmitter.
Replacing a missing or damaged visor clip does not require transmitter reprogramming. The remote remains the same radio credential and continues to use its existing receiver programming and transmitter configuration.
Verified Luna Product Family Association
Transmitter Solutions specifically lists the accessory as a Luna 318 MHz Visor Clip. The current manufacturer 318 MHz transmitter lineup includes Luna 1-button, 2-button, and 4-button programmable transmitter configurations.
Current Luna 318 MHz transmitter references include:
- TRALUN318LIPW1K-C - Luna 1-button programmable 318 MHz key chain transmitter.
- TRALUN318LIPW2K-C - Luna 2-button programmable 318 MHz key chain transmitter.
- TRALUN318LIPW4K-C - Luna 4-button programmable 318 MHz key chain transmitter.
- TRALUN318DOPW1K-C - current Luna 318 MHz transmitter family reference.
- TRALUN318DOPW2K-C - current Luna 318 MHz transmitter family reference.
- TRALUN318DOPW4K-C - current Luna 318 MHz transmitter family reference.
The current public CLIPLUNA listing does not provide a separate model-by-model compatibility table confirming exact clip fitment for every Luna SKU above. Exact public fitment across every Luna transmitter revision could not be fully confirmed. Verify the transmitter housing and part number before ordering.
Current Luna LIPW Transmitter Housing References
Current manufacturer cut sheets for TRALUN318LIPW1K-C and TRALUN318LIPW4K-C show the Luna transmitter housing at approximately 2.51 inches high, 1.52 inches wide, and 0.58 inch deep. The manufacturer also identifies the same Luna LIPW family in 1-button, 2-button, and 4-button configurations.
These housing references are useful when checking a current Luna LIPW remote, but housing dimensions alone should not be used to guarantee visor clip compatibility with an older or different transmitter generation.
Does Not Affect Radio Compatibility or Programming
CLIPLUNA is a mechanical visor clip accessory. It does not determine which receiver the transmitter will operate.
- It does not change transmitter frequency.
- It does not convert one transmitter protocol to another.
- It does not add or remove transmitter buttons.
- It does not change the facility code or serial number.
- It does not replace a transmitter battery.
- It does not program the transmitter to a receiver.
If a Luna remote does not activate the gate or garage door, check the transmitter battery, receiver compatibility, programming, facility code, transmitter serial number, and radio system before blaming the visor clip.
Do Not Substitute Similar Visor Clips by Appearance Alone
Transmitter Solutions separately lists a Monarch 318 MHz visor clip accessory. The Monarch and Luna transmitter families should not be assumed to use the same clip simply because both are Transmitter Solutions 318 MHz remotes.
Stingray visor transmitters and other remote-control housings also use different mounting arrangements. Confirm the transmitter family before ordering a replacement clip.

Package Contents
CLIPLUNA is identified by Transmitter Solutions as a Luna visor clip accessory. The current public manufacturer listing does not provide a detailed package contents statement or identify a transmitter as included.
Do not assume the Luna remote, battery, key ring hardware, programming instructions, or another transmitter accessory is included with the visor clip.
Technician Note
A visor clip is a housing-fit item, not a radio-frequency item. Check the actual transmitter shell before ordering. A Luna, Monarch, and Stingray remote may all operate at 318 MHz, but that does not mean the same visor clip fits all three housings. Also check whether the old clip is missing or whether the transmitter housing itself is cracked where the clip attaches.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm part number CLIPLUNA.
- Verify that the transmitter is a Transmitter Solutions Luna model.
- Check the exact transmitter part number on the remote label.
- Compare the transmitter housing with the current Luna family.
- Inspect the clip attachment area for broken or cracked transmitter housing.
- Do not order by 318 MHz frequency alone.
- Do not assume a Monarch or Stingray visor clip is interchangeable.
- Confirm whether only the visor clip is required or the complete transmitter must be replaced.
- Confirm package quantity when multiple clips are required.
Installation and Service Notes
Install the visor clip only on the compatible transmitter housing and mounting location. Do not force the clip onto a different remote shell or modify the transmitter case to make an unrelated clip fit.
If the transmitter housing is cracked, damaged, or no longer retains the clip securely, replacing only the visor clip may not correct the problem. Inspect the transmitter shell before ordering the accessory.
Product Questions and Answers
What transmitter is the CLIPLUNA visor clip made for?
Transmitter Solutions lists CLIPLUNA as a Luna 318 MHz visor clip accessory. The current manufacturer listing does not provide an exact model-by-model fitment table, so confirm the Luna transmitter part number and housing before ordering.
Will CLIPLUNA fit every Transmitter Solutions 318 MHz remote?
No automatic interchange should be assumed. Transmitter Solutions has separate Luna, Monarch, and Stingray transmitter families, and the manufacturer separately lists a Monarch visor clip. Match the clip to the transmitter housing rather than frequency alone.
Does the CLIPLUNA visor clip include a Luna transmitter?
The manufacturer lists CLIPLUNA as a Luna visor clip accessory and does not identify a transmitter as included. Do not assume a remote, battery, or programming accessory is supplied with the clip.
Do I have to reprogram my Luna transmitter after replacing the visor clip?
No. The visor clip is a mechanical mounting accessory and does not change the transmitter programming, facility code, serial number, frequency, or receiver compatibility.
Can CLIPLUNA fix a Luna remote that no longer opens the gate or garage door?
No. The visor clip does not affect the radio signal or receiver programming. Check the transmitter battery, exact remote model, receiver compatibility, programming, facility code, serial number, and radio system when the remote does not operate the gate or garage door.
Will CLIPLUNA fit the Luna 1-button, 2-button, and 4-button transmitters?
Transmitter Solutions lists a Luna 318 MHz visor clip and currently publishes Luna 1-button, 2-button, and 4-button transmitter configurations. However, the public CLIPLUNA listing does not separately confirm exact fitment for every Luna SKU or production revision. Verify the transmitter housing and part number before ordering.
Should I replace the visor clip or the complete Luna transmitter?
Replace the clip when the transmitter still works and the compatible mounting clip is missing or damaged. If the transmitter housing is cracked where the clip attaches, a new clip may not stay secure and the complete transmitter may need replacement.
Can I use a Monarch visor clip instead of CLIPLUNA?
Do not assume the clips interchange. Transmitter Solutions separately lists Luna and Monarch visor clip accessories. Confirm the transmitter family and housing before substituting a similar-looking clip.
