Transmitter Solutions RECTSWIE318-D DoorKing Compatible Wiegand Receiver Details
The Transmitter Solutions RECTSWIE318-D is a HIVE 318 MHz DoorKing-compatible receiver catalog configuration for access control systems using 26-bit Wiegand output. The current Transmitter Solutions HIVE receiver family documents 318 MHz operation at 26 bits, 12-24 VAC/DC input, Keeloq hopping code, and compatibility options for Linear, Sentex, and DoorKing applications.
The supplied catalog SKU is RECTSWIE318-D. Current public Transmitter Solutions receiver documentation identifies the broader family as RECTSWEI295/318/433. The manufacturer download labeled "318 MANUAL" is titled "WIEGAND 318 L Receiver" and does not separately identify the RECTSWIE318-D suffix. Verify the physical receiver label and "-D" DoorKing-compatible configuration before replacing an existing 318 MHz receiver.
What the RECTSWIE318-D Receiver Does
The receiver accepts supported 318 MHz transmitter signals and provides Wiegand credential data to a connected access control system. Current HIVE family documentation identifies the 318 MHz receiver configuration for 26-bit Wiegand applications.
This is a Wiegand receiver, not a standalone dry-contact gate receiver. A compatible access control panel or downstream controller must process the Wiegand credential and provide the required access command.

The "-D" catalog designation identifies this item as the DoorKing-compatible configuration. Do not assume a Linear-compatible or another 318 MHz receiver configuration is interchangeable solely because the operating frequency is the same.
DoorKing Compatibility and 318 MHz DOP Transmitter References
Transmitter Solutions currently lists a group of programmable 318 MHz DOP transmitters with documented DoorKing or MicroCLIK compatibility references:
- Monarch 318DOPW1K-C - MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatible
- Monarch 318DOPW2K-C - MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatible
- Stingray 318DOPW1V - DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatible
- Stingray 318DOPW2V - DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatible
- LUNA TRALUN318DOPW1K-C - MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatible

- LUNA TRALUN318DOPW4K-C - current manufacturer page identifies DoorKing compatibility; verify the exact application before ordering
These are manufacturer-documented DoorKing-compatible 318 MHz transmitter references. Current public Transmitter Solutions documentation does not provide a complete RECTSWIE318-D-specific transmitter matrix that directly lists every DOP transmitter as a guaranteed receiver pairing. Verify the physical receiver label, transmitter part number, protocol, facility code, and site credential requirements before ordering additional remotes.
DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 and 8067-080 References
Transmitter Solutions specifically documents MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatibility with its Monarch 318DOPW1K-C, Stingray 318DOPW1V, and LUNA TRALUN318DOPW1K-C transmitter references.
The manufacturer specifically documents MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatibility with Monarch 318DOPW2K-C and Stingray 318DOPW2V.
Do not treat 8066-080 and 8067-080 as automatically interchangeable. Match the original transmitter model, number of access functions, facility code, and receiver configuration.
Important RECTSWIE318-D and 318L Documentation Difference
The current HIVE receiver page provides one "318 MANUAL" download, but the manual itself is titled "WIEGAND 318 L Receiver." That manual documents a 318 MHz, 26-bit Wiegand receiver working with Transmitter Solutions 318T two-button transmitters.
The exact RECTSWIE318-D catalog suffix is not separately identified in that manual. Because the supplied RECTSWIE318-D product is identified as DoorKing compatible, do not automatically apply every 318L transmitter compatibility or programming claim to the "-D" receiver without checking the physical receiver label and protocol configuration.
26-Bit Wiegand Output
Current Transmitter Solutions HIVE receiver documentation identifies 318 MHz as a 26-bit Wiegand receiver application. The applicable 318 MHz manual documents two open-collector Wiegand outputs and shows DATA1 and DATA0 on the receiver board illustration.
The access control panel must support 26-bit Wiegand and the credential configuration used at the property. A 30-bit Wiegand requirement should not be assumed compatible with this 318 MHz receiver configuration.
Manufacturer Manual DATA0 and DATA2 Label Conflict
The official 318 MHz receiver manual contains an output-label difference. The connection-terminal text identifies terminal 3 as "Output DATA2," while the receiver board illustration labels the same output as DATA0. Standard Wiegand communication uses DATA0 and DATA1, and the diagram shows DATA0 at terminal 3.
Verify the printed receiver terminal labels and actual hardware before moving existing Wiegand wiring. Do not wire a similar-looking receiver by terminal number alone.
Related 318 MHz Receiver Memory Information Requires Configuration Confirmation
The available Transmitter Solutions 318L receiver manual documents storage for up to 50 facility-code and key-code combinations. It also documents programming through the P1 button, a red programming LED, an ignore-facility-code mode, and complete memory erase.
Because that manual is specifically titled for the 318L receiver and does not identify RECTSWIE318-D, exact public compatibility could not be fully confirmed for transferring the 50-combination memory specification and programming sequence to every RECTSWIE318-D receiver. Follow the instructions for the physical receiver revision being installed.
Antenna and Coax Information
The available 318 MHz receiver manual shows separate Antenna Shield and Antenna Core terminals and specifies shielded RG58 coaxial cable with 50 Ohm impedance for the antenna connection.
Receiver placement, antenna position, damaged coax, surrounding metal, and radio interference can affect operating range. A remote that only works close to the receiver should not automatically be blamed on the receiver board before checking the transmitter, battery, antenna, coax, and site conditions.
Package Contents Documentation Difference
The current Transmitter Solutions HIVE receiver product page states that the receiver includes a wire harness and identifies the coax antenna as optional. The current HIVE Wiegand cut sheet states that a coax antenna and wiring harness are included.
Because the manufacturer documents differ, confirm the exact RECTSWIE318-D package contents before ordering when a coax antenna or wiring harness is required.
Current Product Page and 318 MHz Manual Specification Differences
The current HIVE receiver family page lists an operating temperature of -40F to 158F and dimensions of 4 x 1 3/4 x 1 in. The older 318L manual lists -20C to 70C, which is approximately -4F to 158F, and dimensions of 105 x 45 x 18 mm.
These differences may reflect receiver generation or family-versus-model documentation. For low-temperature installations or exact enclosure replacement, verify the physical RECTSWIE318-D hardware revision before relying on the broader family specification.
Similar 318 MHz Receivers Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
- RECTSWIE318-D is identified as a DoorKing-compatible 318 MHz catalog configuration.
- The manufacturer 318 MHz receiver manual is titled for the 318L receiver and should not automatically be treated as an exact "-D" protocol manual.
- A Linear-compatible 318 MHz receiver or transmitter should not be substituted based only on frequency.
- 318 MHz DIP-switch transmitters are not automatically compatible with a programmable DoorKing-compatible receiver application.
- HIVE318WSA is a separate 318 MHz programmable receiver with 1000-user capacity and Linear MegaCode transmitter compatibility.
- A standalone relay receiver is not automatically interchangeable with a 26-bit Wiegand receiver.

Technician Note
The biggest ordering mistake with RECTSWIE318-D is seeing "318 MHz" and assuming every 318 MHz remote or receiver is the same. The "-D" DoorKing-compatible configuration matters. Transmitter Solutions also sells 318 MHz Linear-compatible and DIP-switch transmitter families. Match the exact receiver label and existing transmitter protocol before ordering. Also be careful with the available 318 manual because it is titled for the 318L receiver, not the "-D" catalog suffix.

Installation and Service Notes
Verify the printed receiver terminal labels before moving wiring from an older receiver. The available 318 MHz manual contains a DATA0 versus DATA2 wording difference between its terminal list and board illustration, so the physical receiver labels should be checked.
Install the receiver and antenna away from strong interference sources when practical. For a short-range complaint, check transmitter battery condition, antenna connection, coax damage, receiver placement, and radio interference before replacing the receiver.
For unknown Wiegand wiring, damaged access control power circuits, or unclear credential-format problems, use a qualified gate or access control technician. Do not bypass gate safety circuits, monitored entrapment protection, emergency access, or fire access functions while testing receiver operation.
Product Questions and Answers
Is RECTSWIE318-D the same receiver as the 318L model shown in the Transmitter Solutions 318 manual?
Exact interchangeability could not be fully confirmed. The supplied catalog SKU is RECTSWIE318-D and is identified as DoorKing compatible, while the current manufacturer 318 manual is titled for the 318L receiver. Verify the physical receiver label and protocol configuration before substituting one receiver for the other.
Does RECTSWIE318-D work with any 318 MHz gate remote?
No. Matching 318 MHz frequency alone does not prove compatibility. The "-D" receiver configuration is identified for DoorKing-compatible applications, while Transmitter Solutions also documents Linear-compatible and DIP-switch 318 MHz transmitter families.
Which DoorKing MicroCLIK transmitter references are documented by Transmitter Solutions at 318 MHz?
Transmitter Solutions documents 318DOPW1K-C, 318DOPW1V, and TRALUN318DOPW1K-C with MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatibility. The manufacturer documents 318DOPW2K-C and 318DOPW2V with MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatibility. Confirm the exact receiver and transmitter pairing before ordering.
What Wiegand format does the 318 MHz HIVE receiver family use?
The current Transmitter Solutions HIVE receiver page identifies 318 MHz as a 26-bit Wiegand application. Verify that the connected access control panel accepts 26-bit Wiegand before ordering RECTSWIE318-D.
Does RECTSWIE318-D have a dry-contact relay output for direct gate control?
No standalone dry-contact relay output is documented for the HIVE Wiegand receiver family. The receiver provides Wiegand output for connection to a compatible access control panel or downstream controller.
Why should I verify the DATA0 and DATA1 terminal labels on the receiver?
The official 318 MHz manual contains a documentation difference. Its terminal text calls terminal 3 DATA2, while the receiver board illustration labels the same terminal DATA0. Verify the printed receiver labels before moving Wiegand wiring.
Is a coax antenna included with RECTSWIE318-D?
Current Transmitter Solutions documents differ on package contents. The HIVE receiver product page lists an included wire harness and optional coax antenna, while the manufacturer cut sheet states that the coax antenna and wiring harness are included. Confirm the exact package before ordering.
