Transmitter Solutions 318DOPW2V Stingray 318 MHz MicroCLIK Compatibility Details
The Transmitter Solutions TRARAY318DOPW2V is the Gate Openers Unlimited catalog SKU for the Stingray transmitter identified by Transmitter Solutions as model 318DOPW2V. This is a programmable two-button visor transmitter operating at 318 MHz using a DoorKing MicroCLIK-compatible protocol.
Transmitter Solutions specifically identifies the 318DOPW2V as compatible with the DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 two-button transmitter application. Current DoorKing product reference documentation also identifies 8067-080 as its two-button MicroCLIK transmitter.
What This Transmitter Does
The 318DOPW2V sends an individually numbered 318 MHz wireless credential to a compatible receiver. The transmitter provides two red buttons identified as Button A and Button B.
This is a programmable transmitter and does not use a DIP-switch code bank. Each transmitter is manufactured with a factory-set sequence number and facility code. The facility code and sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory.
Two physical buttons do not automatically mean the installation controls two gates. MicroCLIK receiver programming can be configured to respond to specific transmitter buttons or button combinations, so verify the existing button functions before replacing a programmed transmitter.

DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 Compatibility
The current Transmitter Solutions product page and exact model-specific cut sheet specifically identify DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatibility for the Stingray 318DOPW2V.
Current DoorKing product reference documentation identifies 8067-080 as the two-button MicroCLIK transmitter. DoorKing separately identifies 8066-080 as the one-button MicroCLIK transmitter and 8068-080 as the three-button MicroCLIK transmitter.
The Stingray is a Transmitter Solutions product using a MicroCLIK-compatible protocol. It should not be described as the same physical or packaged product as the original DoorKing 8067-080. The verified relationship is compatibility with the documented two-button MicroCLIK transmitter application.
MicroCLIK Receiver Button Programming
DoorKing documents multiple button responses for two-button MicroCLIK transmitters. Depending on the receiver and its programming, the system may respond to Button 1, Button 2, or both buttons pressed together.
A receiver can also be configured so one receiver responds to one transmitter button while a second receiver responds to another button from the same multi-button transmitter.
Before replacing an existing two-button transmitter, record which button or button combination operates each authorized function. Do not assume Button A and Button B will automatically perform the same functions after a receiver or access control system has been reprogrammed.
Factory-Set Facility Code and Sequence Number
The Transmitter Solutions manual states that each Stingray 318DOPWxV transmitter is manufactured and sold with a different factory-set sequence number and facility code.
The transmitter facility code and sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory. This credential method is different from copying DIP-switch positions from an older fixed-code transmitter.
For an HOA, gated community, apartment property, commercial facility, parking application, or other managed access system, verify the required facility code and transmitter-number arrangement before ordering additional transmitters.
A correct 318 MHz transmitter can still fail to operate if its facility code or individual sequence number has not been accepted and programmed into the receiving system.
26-Bit System Application Caution
The Transmitter Solutions manual describes the 318DOPWxV transmitter family for use with compatible receivers capable of receiving the documented 26-bit input and access control systems equipped with the same protocol.
The exact model cut sheet also identifies Wiegand 26-bit programmable telephone entry, anti-burglar, and access control applications.
Do not interpret this as universal compatibility with every access control panel that has a 26-bit Wiegand input. The installation also requires a compatible 318 MHz radio receiver that recognizes the MicroCLIK-compatible transmitter protocol. A Wiegand input alone does not provide 318 MHz radio compatibility.
318 MHz Range and Radio Performance
The manufacturer documents ASK modulation and a free-space range of 60 to 120 yards. Actual installed range can be lower because of receiver antenna location, metal gate operator cabinets, buildings, radio interference, and other site conditions.
If an existing transmitter suddenly operates only at close range, check the 23A battery and receiver antenna installation before assuming the transmitter model is incorrect.
Two-Button Stingray Configuration
The manufacturer manual identifies two Stingray 318DOP visor transmitter models:
- 318DOPW1V - one-button Stingray transmitter with red Button A.
- 318DOPW2V - two-button Stingray transmitter with red Buttons A and B.
The exact 318DOPW2V is the two-button version. Verify both current button functions before replacing an existing transmitter or changing to the one-button model.
Similar Parts Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
318DOPW1V is the related one-button Stingray visor transmitter. Transmitter Solutions identifies that model with DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatibility. It is not the correct button configuration when the system requires the two-button 8067-080 application.
TRALUN318DOPW2K-C is a Luna 318 MHz two-button keychain transmitter using a DoorKing MicroCLIK-compatible protocol. It is a different transmitter family, housing style, battery system, and product model. Do not automatically treat the Luna and Stingray as the same packaged product even though both have documented MicroCLIK-compatible applications.
318LIP transmitters are Linear-compatible models. The DOP and LIP suffixes identify different transmitter protocol applications. Do not substitute a 318LIP model for the 318DOPW2V based only on 318 MHz frequency and two-button appearance.
318 MHz DIP-switch transmitters are not automatic replacements for the programmable 318DOPW2V. The Stingray uses a factory-set sequence number and facility code that must be programmed into compatible system memory.

FCC ID Documentation Note
The official Transmitter Solutions 318DOPWxV manual prints FCC ID SU7318LIPWV. The FCC identifier contains "LIP" even though the manual is specifically titled for the 318DOPW1V and 318DOPW2V transmitter family.
The model-specific 318DOPW2V cut sheet does not provide an FCC ID. Because the manufacturer's own manual uses this identifier, do not alter or infer a different FCC ID from the DOP model suffix. Verify the label on the actual transmitter when an FCC identifier is required for service records.

Package and Battery Check
The manufacturer specifies one 12V type 23A alkaline battery as the transmitter power source and identifies the product as a visor transmitter. Current public manufacturer documentation does not clearly list every retail package component or specifically confirm a new battery or separate visor accessory in every package. Confirm current package contents when those items are specifically required.
Technician Note
The biggest ordering mistake with the 318DOPW2V is matching only "318 MHz" and "2 button." Check the DOP suffix and MicroCLIK protocol. The Stingray is specifically documented for the DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 two-button application. A Linear-compatible 318LIP transmitter or an older 318 MHz DIP-switch remote is not an automatic replacement. Also record whether the existing system uses Button A, Button B, or a two-button combination before changing transmitters.

Programming and Service Notes
The transmitter facility code and factory-set sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory. Use the enrollment procedure for the exact installed receiver, telephone entry system, or access control platform.
Do not attempt to program the 318DOPW2V by copying DIP-switch positions. The transmitter does not use a DIP-switch code bank.
The manufacturer specifies one 12V type 23A alkaline battery. Battery access is through the sliding battery door. Install the battery with the polarity shown in the transmitter enclosure. The red LED should illuminate when either transmitter button is pressed.
If the transmitter LED does not illuminate, the manufacturer troubleshooting information directs the user to replace the transmitter battery. If the LED is on but the system does not receive the signal, verify that the transmitter is programmed into the system. Reduced operating range is also a manufacturer-listed reason to replace the battery.
Professional Advisory
Do not bypass photo eyes, monitored safety edges, entrapment protection, emergency access, fire access, door reversal systems, or operator safety circuits while troubleshooting a transmitter or receiver problem. Unclear receiver wiring, Wiegand interfaces, operator inputs, or access control electrical faults should be inspected by a qualified gate, garage door, or access control technician.
