Transmitter Solutions 318DOPW1V Stingray 318 MHz MicroCLIK Compatibility Details
The Transmitter Solutions TRARAY318DOPW1V is the Gate Openers Unlimited catalog SKU for the Stingray transmitter identified by Transmitter Solutions as model 318DOPW1V. This is a programmable one-button visor transmitter operating at 318 MHz using a DoorKing MicroCLIK-compatible protocol.
Transmitter Solutions specifically identifies the 318DOPW1V as compatible with the DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 one-button transmitter application. Current DoorKing product reference documentation also identifies 8066-080 as the one-button MicroCLIK transmitter.
What This Transmitter Does
The 318DOPW1V sends an individually numbered 318 MHz wireless credential to a compatible receiver. The one-button model uses a red Button A for the authorized function assigned by the receiver or access control system.
This is a programmable transmitter and does not use a DIP-switch code bank. Each transmitter is manufactured with a factory-set sequence number and facility code. The facility code and sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory.
The connected receiver or access control system determines what Button A operates. It may activate an authorized gate, door, garage door control input, or other properly interfaced access function depending on the installed system.

DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 Compatibility
The current Transmitter Solutions product page and exact 318DOPW1V cut sheet specifically identify DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 compatibility.
Current DoorKing product reference documentation identifies 8066-080 as the one-button MicroCLIK transmitter. DoorKing separately identifies 8067-080 as the two-button MicroCLIK transmitter and 8068-080 as the three-button MicroCLIK transmitter.
The Stingray 318DOPW1V is a Transmitter Solutions product using a MicroCLIK-compatible protocol. It should not be represented as the same physical or packaged product as an original DoorKing 8066-080. The verified relationship is compatibility with the documented one-button MicroCLIK transmitter application.
DoorKing 8040-080 Receiver Compatibility
DoorKing documents the 8040-080 as a 318 MHz receiver that can be used with MicroPLUS or MicroCLIK transmitters. The receiver must be placed in MicroCLIK mode before learning a MicroCLIK transmitter.
Current DoorKing reference documentation identifies 8040-080 under MicroCLIK RF Controls and documents both Wiegand and stand-alone relay applications. When replacing a transmitter on an 8040-080 installation, verify that the receiver is operating in MicroCLIK mode and follow the programming procedure for that exact receiver configuration.
Do not assume an 8040-080 set for MicroPLUS transmitter operation will automatically accept a MicroCLIK-compatible Stingray without the required receiver configuration.
DoorKing 8057 MicroCLIK Receiver Compatibility
Current DoorKing reference documentation lists the following stand-alone MicroCLIK receiver models:
- 8057-081 - 50 transmitter codes.
- 8057-082 - 100 transmitter codes.
- 8057-083 - 250 transmitter codes.
- 8057-084 - 500 transmitter codes.
- 8057-085 - 1,000 transmitter codes.
- 8057-086 - 5,000 transmitter codes.
- 8057-088 - 16,000 transmitter codes.
These are MicroCLIK receiver applications using the applicable 318 MHz transmitter system. Receiver memory capacity and programming method must be checked when adding a new 318DOPW1V.
A full receiver memory, incorrect facility code, or transmitter sequence number that has not been entered into the system can make a properly functioning transmitter appear incompatible.
Legacy DoorKing 8059 MicroCLIK Wiegand Applications
DoorKing's 8059 MicroCLIK receiver documentation identifies 318 MHz MicroCLIK transmitter operation and 26-bit or 31-bit Wiegand output to an external Wiegand controller.
The 8059 is a legacy receiver reference and is not listed with the current MicroCLIK receiver models in the January 2026 DoorKing product reference guide. Verify the installed receiver model, hardware generation, Wiegand format, and access controller before ordering for an older 8059 installation.
Factory-Set Facility Code and Sequence Number
The Transmitter Solutions Stingray manual states that each 318DOPWxV transmitter is manufactured and sold with a different factory-set sequence number and facility code.
The transmitter facility code and sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory. This credential method is different from copying DIP-switch positions from an older fixed-code transmitter.
For an HOA, gated community, apartment property, commercial facility, parking application, or other managed access system, confirm the required facility code and transmitter-number arrangement before ordering additional transmitters.
A transmitter can have the correct 318 MHz frequency and MicroCLIK-compatible protocol and still fail to operate if its facility code or individual sequence number is not authorized in the receiving system.
26-Bit Access Control Application Caution
The Transmitter Solutions manual states that each transmitter is individually numbered and describes use with compatible receivers capable of receiving the documented 26-bit input and access control systems equipped with the same protocol.
The exact product cut sheet also describes Wiegand 26-bit programmable telephone entry, security, and access control applications.
Do not interpret this as universal compatibility with every access control panel that has a 26-bit Wiegand terminal. The installation also requires a compatible 318 MHz radio receiver that recognizes the MicroCLIK-compatible transmitter protocol. A Wiegand input by itself does not receive a wireless 318 MHz transmitter signal.
318 MHz Range and Radio Performance
The manufacturer documents AM/ASK modulation and a free-space range of 60 to 120 yards. Actual installed range may be lower because of receiver antenna location, metal gate operator cabinets, buildings, radio interference, and other site conditions.
DoorKing receiver documentation also identifies 318 MHz interference as a possible cause of short transmitter range. If an existing transmitter suddenly operates only from close to the gate, check the 23A battery, receiver antenna, receiver placement, and radio environment before assuming the transmitter model is incorrect.
One-Button Stingray Configuration
The Transmitter Solutions Stingray 318DOP manual identifies two visor transmitter versions:
- 318DOPW1V - one-button Stingray transmitter with red Button A.
- 318DOPW2V - two-button Stingray transmitter with red Buttons A and B.
The exact 318DOPW1V is the one-button version. Confirm that the access application requires only the authorized Button A function before replacing a two-button transmitter with this model.
Similar Parts Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
318DOPW2V is the related two-button Stingray visor transmitter. Transmitter Solutions specifically identifies the two-button model with DoorKing MicroCLIK 8067-080 compatibility. Do not substitute 318DOPW1V when the existing system requires a second transmitter button or a programmed two-button response.
TRALUN318DOPW1K-C is a Luna 318 MHz one-button keychain transmitter using a DoorKing MicroCLIK-compatible protocol. It is a separate transmitter family with a different housing and battery-status design. Do not assume the Luna and Stingray are the same packaged product solely because both are one-button 318 MHz MicroCLIK-compatible transmitters.
318LIP transmitter models are Linear-compatible applications. The DOP and LIP suffixes identify different protocol families. Do not substitute an LIP transmitter for the 318DOPW1V based only on 318 MHz frequency and button count.
318 MHz DIP-switch transmitters are not automatic replacements for the programmable 318DOPW1V. This Stingray uses a factory-set facility code and sequence number that must be programmed into compatible system memory.
DoorKing PROXMTR models combine a MicroCLIK transmitter with a proximity credential. The standard Stingray 318DOPW1V should not be assumed to contain an AWID, HID, IDTeck, DoorKing proximity, or ProxPlus credential.

Package and Battery Check
The manufacturer specifies one 12V type 23A alkaline battery as the transmitter power source and identifies this product as a visor transmitter. Current public manufacturer documentation does not clearly list every retail package component or specifically confirm a new battery or separate visor mounting accessory in every package. Confirm current package contents when those items are specifically required.
Technician Note
The biggest ordering mistake with the 318DOPW1V is matching only "318 MHz" and "1 button." Check the DOP suffix and MicroCLIK protocol. This Stingray is specifically documented for the DoorKing MicroCLIK 8066-080 one-button application. A Linear-compatible 318LIP transmitter or an older 318 MHz DIP-switch remote is not an automatic replacement. For DoorKing 8040-080 installations, also verify that the receiver is configured for MicroCLIK operation rather than MicroPLUS.

Programming and Service Notes
The transmitter facility code and factory-set sequence number must be programmed into compatible system memory. Use the enrollment procedure for the exact installed receiver, telephone entry system, or access control platform.
Do not attempt to program the 318DOPW1V by copying DIP-switch positions. The transmitter does not use a DIP-switch code bank.
The manufacturer specifies one 12V type 23A alkaline battery. Battery access is through the sliding battery door. Install the battery with the polarity shown in the transmitter enclosure. The red LED should illuminate when Button A is pressed.
If the transmitter LED does not illuminate, the manufacturer troubleshooting information directs the user to replace the transmitter battery. If the LED is on but the system does not receive the signal, verify that the transmitter has been programmed into the system. Reduced operating range is also a manufacturer-listed reason to replace the battery.
For a short-range condition that continues with a known-good battery, inspect the receiver antenna and radio environment. DoorKing documentation identifies 318 MHz interference as a possible cause of reduced receiver range.
Professional Advisory
Do not bypass photo eyes, monitored safety edges, entrapment protection, emergency access, fire access, door reversal systems, or operator safety circuits while troubleshooting a transmitter or receiver problem. Unclear receiver wiring, Wiegand interfaces, operator inputs, or access control electrical faults should be inspected by a qualified gate, garage door, or access control technician.
