HySecurity MX001637R, Motor, Electric, 60Hz, 2 hp, 1PH, 3450 RPM, 208-230VAC, Reconditioned
The HySecurity MX001637R is a reconditioned 2 HP, single-phase electric motor used as a service replacement on select HySecurity hydraulic operators. It operates at 60Hz and 3450 RPM with a 208-230VAC rating. Public replacement references commonly associate this reconditioned motor with MX001637 and MX001912, but the correct use still depends on the operator's build, voltage package, and motor/pump coupling arrangement. This is a critical drive component in hydraulic gate systems; when the motor does not start cleanly or cannot maintain pump output, the entire gate may become slow, erratic, or inoperative. Match the original motor label and parts diagram instead of relying only on the outside dimensions. If the original system uses a different phase, frequency, or HP rating, use the correct HySecurity motor for that configuration.
Common service reasons may include motor failure, heat, noise, damaged leads, worn hydraulic seals, missing hardware, limit-reference errors, or other symptoms tied to the specific part type. Always diagnose the operator first so the replacement part corrects the actual problem.
Compatible With
This part may be used with the following HySecurity applications when confirmed by part number, operator model, serial number, voltage package, and parts diagram:
- Select HySecurity SlideDriver hydraulic slide gate operators using the 2 HP, 1-phase, 60Hz motor package
- Select HySecurity SwingRiser operators when the parts diagram calls for MX001637, MX001637R, or a supported MX001912 replacement path
- Select HySecurity HydraLift applications using the matching 2 HP single-phase AC motor configuration
- May be referenced with MX001912 in some service listings; verify serial number, voltage, and parts diagram
- Not interchangeable with MX001636R, MX001638, MX001647R, MX001648R, or any 50Hz motor assembly

Technician Note
Do not select HySecurity service parts by appearance alone. Similar operators can use different motors, switches, manifolds, seals, voltages, phases, frequencies, horsepower ratings, or hardware revisions. Match the original part number and the operator parts diagram before replacing components.
Before Ordering
- Verify the HySecurity part number printed on the old part or shown in the operator parts diagram.
- Confirm the operator model, serial number, and production generation.
- For motors, match horsepower, voltage, phase, frequency, RPM, motor type, and pump coupling arrangement.
- For hydraulic parts, confirm the exact manifold, seal location, and whether the system must be depressurized before service.
- For limit switch parts, confirm switch style, mounting hardware, harness condition, and limit adjustment procedure.
- Inspect related components so a failed motor, leaking seal, or limit issue is not caused by another damaged part.
Professional Advisory
Gate operators can move heavy gates and may contain high-voltage wiring, stored hydraulic pressure, and monitored safety circuits. Do not bypass safety devices, limit switches, entrapment protection, or factory wiring. If the operator moves unpredictably, has missing safety devices, leaks hydraulic fluid, or requires electrical diagnosis, have the system inspected by a qualified gate technician.
Questions & Answers
What should I match before ordering the MX001637R motor?
Match the original HySecurity part number, horsepower, voltage, phase, frequency, RPM, shaft/coupler setup, and operator parts diagram. Do not substitute a similar motor only by physical size. This reconditioned version should be matched by part number, motor nameplate, and operator parts diagram.
Is MX001637R a 60Hz motor?
Yes. This listing is written around the 60Hz, 2 HP, 1-phase, 3450 RPM specification shown for MX001637R. Frequency matters because motor speed, current draw, and heat can change if the wrong motor is used.
Can MX001637R replace another HySecurity motor number?
It may be used in place of MX001637 or MX001912 when supported only when the operator configuration and parts diagram support that substitution. Check the existing nameplate and HySecurity part reference before ordering.
Where is this HySecurity motor commonly used?
This motor is commonly associated with select SlideDriver, SwingRiser, and HydraLift configurations. Exact use depends on the operator model, voltage package, phase, and production generation.
Should a technician install this motor?
Yes for most commercial hydraulic gate operators. Motor replacement can involve high voltage, hydraulic pump coupling alignment, and safety-device checks, so a qualified gate technician should handle unsafe or unfamiliar work.
