HySecurity MX001637-P, MOTOR ASSY, 2 HP, 1PH, 3450RPM
HySecurity MX001637-P is a 2 HP single-phase motor assembly rated at 3450 RPM for select HySecurity hydraulic operator applications. Current listings describe MX001637-P as "Motor Assembly, 2 HP, 1PH, 3450 RPM." Nice HySecurity parts documentation lists the base MX001637 reference as an electric motor, 60Hz, 2 HP, 1-phase, 3450 RPM, with 115/208-230VAC voltage references for HydraSupply XL Single applications.
This motor is part of a hydraulic drive system and should be matched by exact part number, horsepower, phase, voltage, RPM, frequency, mounting, shaft/coupler arrangement, and the HySecurity parts diagram. The "-P" suffix may indicate a package or service assembly version, so package contents should be verified before ordering.
What This Motor Assembly Does
The motor assembly supplies rotational power to the hydraulic pump or drive system where the approved HySecurity design calls for a 2 HP, single-phase, 3450 RPM motor. In a compatible hydraulic operator or HydraSupply XL system, the motor works with the pump, coupler, reservoir, valves, manifolds, hoses, contactor, overload protection, and controller to move the gate, arm, or wedge system as designed.
A failed, weak, overheated, miswired, wrong-phase, wrong-voltage, or incorrect RPM motor can cause no hydraulic movement, slow movement, tripped overloads, humming, overheating, low hydraulic pressure, poor pump performance, or repeated electrical faults. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a failed contactor, bad capacitor, incorrect voltage, poor incoming power, seized pump, damaged motor coupler, hydraulic pressure problems, stuck valves, low fluid, contaminated fluid, or mechanical binding.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX001637-P only where the operator parts diagram, original motor label, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number or the matching MX001637 base motor reference.
- Select HySecurity HydraSupply XL Single applications where MX001637 or MX001637-P is listed as the required 2 HP single-phase motor.
- Select HySecurity hydraulic operator applications where the parts diagram calls for a 2 HP, 1-phase, 3450 RPM motor assembly using the MX001637 / MX001637-P reference.
- Repairs where the original motor is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX001637 or MX001637-P.
- Applications where the horsepower, phase, voltage, frequency, RPM, shaft/coupler arrangement, mounting pattern, pump connection, and control wiring match the HySecurity parts diagram.
- Motor replacement jobs where diagnosis confirms the motor has failed and the hydraulic pump, coupler, contactor, overload, capacitor, and power supply have been checked.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX001637-P based only on horsepower or RPM. HySecurity uses multiple motors with similar descriptions across hydraulic operators and pump systems. The phase, voltage, frequency, RPM, horsepower, shaft, mounting, coupler, and package version all matter.
MX001637-P is the 2 HP single-phase motor assembly. It should not be substituted for the 2 HP 3-phase motor assembly, 1 HP motors, 3/4 HP motors, 24VDC motors, or complete pump packs unless the current HySecurity parts diagram confirms the exact replacement. A wrong-phase or wrong-voltage motor can cause wiring damage, overload trips, poor pump performance, or unsafe operator operation.
Single-Phase vs 3-Phase Motor Warning
This part is listed as a 1-phase motor assembly. Do not confuse it with mx001638-p-2hp-3-phase-motor-assembly.html">mx001638-p-2hp-3-phase-motor-assembly.html">HySecurity MX001638 or mx001638-p-2hp-3-phase-motor-assembly.html">MX001638-P, which is commonly associated with a 2 HP, 3-phase, 3450 RPM motor assembly. Single-phase and 3-phase motors are not wired the same and are not automatically interchangeable.
Before ordering, confirm the installed operator power supply and the original motor nameplate. A site wired for 3-phase power may require the correct 3-phase motor, while a single-phase setup may require the correct single-phase motor, capacitor arrangement, contactor, and overload protection.

Technician Note
Before replacing MX001637-P, inspect incoming voltage, phase, contactor operation, overload protection, capacitor condition where applicable, motor wiring, ground connection, motor shaft, motor coupler, hydraulic pump, fluid condition, valves, and mechanical load. A motor that hums, trips, overheats, or fails to start is not always the failed component.
If the hydraulic pump is seized, the motor coupler is damaged, a valve is stuck, the hydraulic circuit is over-pressurized, or the operator is mechanically bound, a new motor may fail quickly. Correct the cause of the overload or starting problem before installing the replacement motor assembly.
