AES IGATE-DUAL-US Cellular Gate Opener with 2 Relay Outputs
The AES IGATE-DUAL-US is a cellular gate opener designed for remote relay control of select gates, barriers, doors, and access control points. It provides 2 relay outputs and supports caller ID based access, app setup, cloud management, and cellular communication where the installed site has proper service coverage and compatible relay-controlled equipment.
This is the complete iGate Dual cellular unit, not just the replacement cellular motherboard. It should be matched by exact part number, cellular region, relay requirements, power input, enclosure requirement, programming method, SIM/AESIM service needs, and the gate or door controller documentation before ordering.
Primary Use
- Cellular relay control for select gate, barrier, door, and access control applications
- 2 relay outputs for controlling two compatible devices or two separate control functions where supported
- Caller ID access control with up to 1280 stored numbers where properly programmed
- App and cloud-based management where supported by the AES iGate Dual system
- Useful where hardwired internet, landline service, or local WiFi is not practical at the gate location
- Compatible with select AES e-Loop integration features where the installed system and accessories support them
Compatible With
Use AES IGATE-DUAL-US only where the installed gate operator, barrier controller, door controller, or access control input supports the relay trigger being used. Do not assume compatibility based only on the operator brand or because the controller has push-button terminals.
- Select gate operators with a compatible open, trigger, step-by-step, or access control input
- Select barrier gates and access control applications where dry relay contact activation is supported
- Select door, garage, and controlled-entry applications where the controller documentation allows external relay activation
- Applications needing 2 relay outputs with N/O, N/C, and COM wiring options where specified
- Sites using caller ID access control where 1280 number capacity is suitable
- Installations where reliable cellular coverage and compatible SIM/AESIM service are available
- Systems where AES documentation confirms iGate Dual support for app, cloud, e-Loop, timed event, or push-to-exit features

Important Comparison With Similar AES iGate Parts
AES iGate products can sound similar, but the network type, relay count, enclosure style, and package contents are different. Match the exact part number before ordering.
- IGATE-DUAL-US: Complete AES iGate Dual cellular gate opener with 2 relay outputs and 1280 caller ID number capacity.
- IGATE-DUAL-ASSY-US: Replacement cellular motherboard assembly for iGate Dual with 4G cellular module. This is a board assembly, not the same as the complete IGATE-DUAL-US unit.
- IGATE-WIFI-ENC: WiFi/IP gate opener with 1 relay output and enclosure. This is not the same as the cellular iGate Dual.
- IGATE-WIFI: WiFi/IP relay controller style unit for supported installations. It is not a cellular gate opener.
- External or internal LTE antenna parts: Not the same as the complete unit. Antenna problems can mimic cellular communication issues.
- SIM card or AESIM service: Not the same as the hardware. Service activation and account status can affect system operation even when the unit is working.
- Safety photo eyes or gate edges: Not replaced by this device. Required entrapment protection must remain installed and working.

Technician Notes
- Confirm the site has reliable cellular service before assuming the unit is defective. Poor signal, antenna location, inactive SIM/AESIM service, account status, or carrier coverage can all affect operation.
- Verify whether the installation needs the complete IGATE-DUAL-US unit or only the IGATE-DUAL-ASSY-US replacement motherboard assembly.
- Label all relay wiring before removal or replacement. Relay 1 and Relay 2 may control different devices, and N/O, N/C, and COM wiring must be returned correctly.
- Confirm relay load and wiring requirements before connecting to electric locks, gate operators, door controllers, fire access equipment, or other access control inputs.
- Check power input before wiring. The unit-level documentation lists 12-24V AC/DC, but the actual power source at the site should always be verified before installation.
- If the unit is replacing older access equipment, check for old timer boards, external receivers, free-exit devices, fire box wiring, maglocks, electric strikes, and safety circuits tied into the same control input.
- Do not use the iGate Dual as a substitute for required safety devices. Photo eyes, monitored safety edges, inherent entrapment protection, and operator protections must stay connected and operational.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Confirm the exact part number is IGATE-DUAL-US.
- Confirm the job requires the complete AES iGate Dual cellular unit, not the IGATE-DUAL-ASSY-US motherboard assembly.
- Confirm the installation needs 2 relay outputs and that each controlled device accepts the relay trigger being used.
- Confirm whether the relay wiring requires N/O and COM or N/C and COM for each output.
- Confirm cellular coverage, SIM/AESIM requirements, account setup, and cloud/app programming needs.
- Confirm the power source and voltage before installation.
- Confirm the enclosure rating shown on the current AES documentation or product package if IP rating is important for the installation.
- Confirm whether the package includes antenna, SIM card, power supply, mounting hardware, or accessories before making package-content assumptions.
- Confirm the problem is not caused by a failed antenna, inactive service, bad power supply, damaged wiring, incorrect relay connection, or gate operator issue.
Professional Advisory
The AES IGATE-DUAL-US may connect to gate operators, barrier gates, garage door controllers, electric locks, request-to-exit devices, fire access equipment, and access control inputs. If the installation involves high-voltage operator power, unknown prior wiring, monitored safety circuits, magnetic locks, electric strikes, fire access equipment, or shared user permissions, use a qualified gate, garage door, or access control technician. Do not bypass safety devices, monitored entrapment protection, fire access equipment, relay protections, or operator control safeguards while installing or troubleshooting this device.
Product Q&A
What is AES IGATE-DUAL-US used for?
AES IGATE-DUAL-US is a cellular gate opener used for relay control of select gates, barriers, doors, and access control points. It provides 2 relay outputs and supports caller ID access where the system is programmed and serviced correctly.
How many caller ID numbers does IGATE-DUAL-US support?
IGATE-DUAL-US is listed with 1280 caller ID number capacity. Time-restricted numbers, automatic trigger events, and push-to-exit schedules should be programmed according to the AES iGate Dual documentation.
No. IGATE-DUAL-US is the complete iGate Dual cellular gate opener unit. IGATE-DUAL-ASSY-US is a related replacement cellular motherboard assembly with 4G module and should not be treated as the same complete product.
Does IGATE-DUAL-US use WiFi?
IGATE-DUAL-US is a cellular iGate Dual product, not the WiFi iGate model. For WiFi/IP control, compare against AES IGATE-WIFI or IGATE-WIFI-ENC where the installation supports WiFi instead of cellular service.
What relay wiring does IGATE-DUAL-US use?
The iGate Dual relay outputs support N/C and N/O relay wiring where specified. Confirm whether each gate, door, lock, or controller input requires N/O and COM or N/C and COM before connecting wires.
Does IGATE-DUAL-US include cellular service or a SIM card?
Cellular service, SIM, or AESIM package contents should be confirmed before ordering. Hardware operation depends on proper service activation, account setup, cellular signal, antenna condition, and app or cloud configuration.
What should I verify before installing IGATE-DUAL-US?
Verify the exact part number, cellular coverage, enclosure requirement, power input, relay wiring, user number capacity, app/cloud setup, SIM/AESIM service, antenna condition, and the gate or door controller input before installation.
