HySecurity MX001100, CRANKSHAFT,BEARING, ZERK& KEYS
HySecurity MX001100 is a crankshaft assembly for select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications. HySecurity parts documentation lists MX001100 as "Crankshaft, Crank Bearing and Zerk" for StrongArm models, and current listings describe this assembly as including a crank pin bearing, zerk fitting, and two key stock pieces for arm mounting.
This is a mechanical drive and arm-support component used in the StrongArm crankshaft area. Because StrongArm arm hardware and drive components are load-bearing parts, MX001100 should be selected only after confirming the operator model, arm hardware, crankshaft assembly, bearing arrangement, keyway condition, and HySecurity parts diagram.
What This Crankshaft Assembly Does
The crankshaft assembly helps transfer motion through the StrongArm arm drive mechanism. The included crank bearing supports movement at the crank area, the zerk fitting provides a lubrication point where specified, and the key stock helps secure the arm mounting components so the shaft and attached hardware rotate together as intended.
A worn, damaged, dry, loose, or misaligned crankshaft assembly can contribute to noisy operation, arm looseness, rough movement, bearing wear, improper arm travel, binding, vibration, or poor arm response. Similar symptoms can also be caused by a worn cylinder, loose arm bracket, damaged yoke, bad counterweight setup, worn 4-bolt crankshaft bearing, damaged limit cam, loose keys, worn keyway, poor lubrication, impact damage, or incorrect arm balance.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX001100 only where the operator parts diagram, original crankshaft assembly, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number.
- Select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications where MX001100 is listed as the crankshaft, crank bearing and zerk assembly.
- HySecurity StrongArm models where the parts diagram lists MX001100 for the crankshaft area.
- Repairs where the original crankshaft assembly is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX001100.
- Applications where the crankshaft, crank bearing, zerk fitting, key stock, and arm mounting arrangement match the HySecurity parts diagram.
- StrongArm arm-drive repairs where diagnosis confirms the crankshaft assembly is worn, damaged, or no longer serviceable.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX001100 based only on the word "bearing" or "crankshaft." This assembly is listed as the crankshaft with crank bearing and zerk for StrongArm applications. It should not be confused with the separate 4-bolt crankshaft bearing, arm brackets, yokes, counterweights, cylinder pins, limit cams, or complete arm hardware kits.
Crankshaft and keyway wear should be checked carefully. If the keyway is damaged, the keys are loose, the bearing is worn, or the arm hardware has been operating loose, replacing only one related component may not correct the problem.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the installed StrongArm model, arm hardware, and the reason the crankshaft assembly is being replaced. Inspect the full crankshaft, cylinder, and arm-drive area before ordering only this part.
- MX000306 4-bolt crankshaft bearing - related bearing support part, not the same as MX001100.
- MX000299 limit cam - related travel/limit component near the crankshaft area, not the same as MX001100.
- MX000077 cylinder kit - related hydraulic drive component, not the same as the crankshaft assembly.
- MX000312 stainless steel cylinder pin - related linkage pin, not the same as the crankshaft assembly.
- MX001046 and MX001047 bracket and yoke hardware - related arm hardware used on certain StrongArm configurations.
- Side-mount arm bracket kits - verify arm material before ordering separate bracket hardware.
- Barrier arm, counterweight, and arm mounting hardware - inspect if there is looseness, impact damage, or poor balance.
Technician Note
Before replacing MX001100, inspect the crankshaft area carefully. Look for worn bearing surfaces, a dry or damaged lubrication point, loose keys, wallowed keyways, cracked arm hardware, loose yokes, worn cylinder linkage, damaged limit cam, missing fasteners, and signs of the arm being struck or overloaded.
If the StrongArm arm is loose, noisy, or binding, do not assume the crankshaft assembly is the only problem. A worn 4-bolt crankshaft bearing, cylinder pin, yoke, counterweight setup, or limit cam can create similar symptoms. Replacing the crankshaft assembly without correcting related wear may lead to repeat failure or poor arm operation.

Installation and Service Notes
- Secure the barrier arm before servicing crankshaft or arm-drive hardware.
- Do not work under an unsupported arm or counterweight-loaded arm assembly.
- Disconnect and secure operator power before working near moving mechanical parts.
- Inspect the bearing, keyway, keys, yoke hardware, cylinder linkage, and arm mounting points during replacement.
- Lubricate only according to the HySecurity service procedure and do not over-grease or contaminate nearby components.
- Do not force damaged keys or worn arm hardware onto the replacement crankshaft.
- After service, verify smooth arm travel, proper balance, correct limit operation, secure hardware, and all required safety devices.
Professional Advisory
StrongArm crankshaft and arm-drive repairs should be handled by a qualified gate technician when the repair involves heavy barrier arms, counterweights, hydraulic cylinder linkage, crankshaft alignment, keyway damage, arm balance, limit cam setup, or unknown prior modifications. Do not bypass limit controls, stop circuits, kill switches, controller protections, access control safety inputs, or any required safety devices to keep the operator running.
Product Questions & Answers
What is HySecurity MX001100?
HySecurity MX001100 is a crankshaft assembly with crank bearing, zerk fitting and keys for select HySecurity StrongArm barrier gate operator applications.
What operators use MX001100?
HySecurity parts documentation lists MX001100 for StrongArm models. Use it only where the operator parts diagram confirms this crankshaft assembly.
What is included with MX001100?
Current listings commonly describe MX001100 as including a crank pin bearing, zerk fitting, and two key stock pieces for arm mounting. Package contents should still be verified before ordering.
Is MX001100 the same as the 4-bolt crankshaft bearing?
No. MX001100 is the crankshaft assembly with crank bearing and zerk. The separate 4-bolt crankshaft bearing is commonly listed as MX000306.
Can worn keys or a damaged keyway cause arm movement problems?
