HySecurity MX002057-P, SHIM KIT, BEARING, SR
The HySecurity MX002057-P is a replacement bearing shim kit for select HySecurity and Nice HySecurity SwingRiser gate operator systems. It is commonly listed as SHIM KIT, BEARING, SR and is related to the MX002057 SwingRiser bearing shim kit reference.
This kit is used when servicing the SwingRiser post bearing area. The shims help adjust the bearing gap around the inner tube so the post remains centered and the gate can move without excessive looseness or binding.
HySecurity SwingRiser shim instructions state that MX002057 includes four 0.020-inch shims and four 0.060-inch shims. The instructions also note that the bearing should be inspected before shimming. If the remaining material in the upper bearing is 1/4 inch or less at the thinnest point, HySecurity directs the technician to replace both the upper and lower bearings instead of using shims.
What This Shim Kit Does
The MX002057-P bearing shim kit is used to adjust the fit between the SwingRiser post bearing and the inner tube. When installed correctly, the shims help reduce excess bearing gap, keep the tube centered, and improve post movement through the operators travel.
If the bearing gap is too large, the SwingRiser post may feel loose, shift during travel, lean, chatter, or wear unevenly. If the shim stack is too tight or uneven, the post may bind, rub, or place added load on the hydraulic and structural components. Proper shimming is a fitment and alignment step, not a substitute for badly worn bearings or damaged post components.
Compatible With
The HySecurity MX002057-P is intended for select HySecurity / Nice HySecurity SwingRiser post bearing applications where this bearing shim kit is specified. Compatibility depends on the operator model, bearing style, post/tube condition, shim requirement, and current HySecurity service documentation.
- Select HySecurity SwingRiser applications where the parts diagram or service instructions list MX002057-P or MX002057
- Select HySecurity SwingRiser 14 applications where the bearing shim kit is specified
- Select HySecurity SwingRiser 14 Twin applications where the bearing shim kit is specified
- SwingRiser post bearing service where the bearing gap needs correction and the bearings are still within serviceable condition
- Repairs where the original shim kit is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as MX002057-P or MX002057
Do not assume MX002057-P fits every HySecurity SwingRiser, HydraSwing, HydraLift, SlideDriver, SlideSmart, SwingSmart, StrongArm, HydraWedge, Smart DC, Smart Touch, or SmartCNX operator. This kit is for SwingRiser bearing shimming where the parts diagram and service instructions confirm fitment.
MX002057-P and MX001718 are related SwingRiser bearing service parts, but they are not the same kit.
- MX002057-P: Bearing shim kit for SwingRiser post bearing adjustment. This is the shim kit only.
- MX002057: Related shim kit reference, commonly listed as including four 0.020-inch shims and four 0.060-inch shims.
- MX001718: Upper and lower bearing and shim kit for SwingRiser. This kit includes the upper and lower post bearings and 16 shims, as commonly listed.
If the existing bearings are worn beyond serviceable condition, the shim-only kit may not be the correct repair. HySecurity shim instructions state that if the remaining material in the upper bearing is 1/4 inch or less, both the upper and lower bearings should be replaced.
Shim Thickness and Bearing Gap Notes
Current HySecurity SwingRiser instructions state that the MX002057 shim kit includes two shim thicknesses: 0.020 inch and 0.060 inch. These shims can be combined into a shim packet to help close the bearing gap.
HySecurity instructions also reference maintaining a consistent gap around the inner tube and using a feeler gauge to check the gap. This is important because one side of the bearing may wear more than the other, and different shim thicknesses may be needed to keep the inner tube centered inside the post.
Related SwingRiser Parts and Service Items
SwingRiser shim service should be checked with the complete post bearing area. If the post is loose or binding, shims may not be the only part needed.
- MX001718: Upper and lower bearing and shim kit where the post bearings need replacement
- SwingRiser upper and lower bearing fasteners where screws are worn, loose, missing, or damaged
- SwingRiser post and tube components where the bearing surface is bent, worn, or damaged
- SwingRiser hydraulic cylinder components where lift or movement issues are present
- SwingRiser hose kits and fittings where hydraulic leaks or restrictions are present
- SwingRiser hydraulic hand pump and manual valve components where manual movement is being serviced
- Gate hinges, brackets, frame hardware, and structural alignment parts where movement or bearing wear is caused by misalignment
Not Intended For
- Universal shim stock replacement
- Replacing worn-out SwingRiser upper and lower post bearings
- HydraSwing bearing repairs such as MX000770 or MX3224 applications
- Drive wheel, trunnion, yoke, or pillow block bearing repairs
- Correcting a bent post, damaged tube, loose structure, worn fasteners, hydraulic issue, or gate alignment problem without diagnosis
- Installing without checking bearing wear, bearing gap, post condition, shim fit, and HySecurity service instructions
Important Compatibility Warning
MX002057-P should be selected by HySecurity part number, SwingRiser model, bearing condition, shim thickness requirement, post/tube alignment, and service documentation. A shim kit should not be used to compensate for bearings that are worn beyond the service limit or for a post assembly that is bent or damaged.
If the SwingRiser post has excessive movement, inspect the bearing material thickness, shim gap, post condition, fasteners, tube alignment, and gate structure before ordering. Shimming a badly worn bearing can leave the operator loose or cause binding.

Technician Note
Before using MX002057-P, measure the bearing material and check the bearing gap. HySecurity shim instructions warn that if the remaining upper bearing material is 1/4 inch or less at the thinnest point, the proper repair is to replace both the upper and lower bearings instead of adding shims.
Shimming should be used to correct a serviceable bearing gap, not to hide a worn-out bearing, bent post, damaged tube, or loose structure. If the post is not centered, use the proper shim thicknesses to bring the gap into tolerance without creating a bind.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- Confirm the needed HySecurity part number is MX002057-P or MX002057.
- Confirm the original part is listed as SHIM KIT, BEARING, SR or SwingRiser bearing shim kit.
- Confirm the operator is a compatible SwingRiser application.
- Confirm the bearing is still serviceable and does not require replacement with MX001718.
- Confirm the shim thicknesses needed are 0.020 inch and/or 0.060 inch.
- Confirm the bearing gap, post centering, tube condition, fastener condition, and gate alignment before installing shims.
- Confirm whether installation instructions, fasteners, bearings, or additional shims are included or must be ordered separately.
Installation and Service Notes
Disable the operator and secure the gate before servicing the SwingRiser bearing area. SwingRiser systems involve heavy gate movement, lifting force, pinch points, hydraulic load, and close-tolerance mechanical alignment.
Use a feeler gauge to check the bearing gap and keep the inner tube centered inside the post. If the post weld seam prevents a shim from sliding behind the bearing cleanly, HySecurity instructions describe cutting the shim so it can be installed around the weld seam. Follow the current HySecurity instructions for the exact service procedure.
Professional Advisory
SwingRiser bearing shimming requires careful measurement and alignment. A qualified HySecurity gate technician should handle this repair if the gate is heavy, the bearing wear is severe, the post is damaged, the tube is bent, the shim gap is unclear, or the operator has repeated binding or wear.
Do not bypass covers, guards, limits, monitored entrapment protection, photo eyes, safety edges, hydraulic controls, disconnects, or controller protections to make the operator run. The mechanical assembly, hydraulic system, and safety devices should be repaired correctly and fully tested before the operator is returned to service.
