HySecurity MX4460, Cover, Rear Assembly, SwingSmart 535
HySecurity MX4460 is a rear cover assembly for select HySecurity SwingSmart CNX gate operator applications. Current parts listings identify MX4460 as a rear cover assembly for SwingSmart CNX, and the assembly is commonly described as including side brackets and a reset switch.
Important note: the provided product description references SwingSmart 535, but the strongest current part-number match for MX4460 is SwingSmart CNX. Because HySecurity cover assemblies can be model-specific and generation-specific, confirm the operator model, serial number, cover style, reset switch arrangement, and parts diagram before ordering.
What This Rear Cover Assembly Does
The rear cover assembly helps protect the internal operator components from normal outdoor exposure while providing the correct rear-side fit and access arrangement for the approved SwingSmart operator cabinet. On listings for MX4460, the assembly is commonly described as including side brackets and a reset switch.
A damaged, cracked, missing, or incorrectly fitted rear cover can expose the operator to water intrusion, debris, insects, and physical damage. It can also create problems if the reset switch location, side bracket arrangement, or mounting points do not match the operator chassis.
Compatible With
Use HySecurity MX4460 only where the operator parts diagram, original cover assembly, or HySecurity documentation confirms this part number.
- Select HySecurity SwingSmart CNX applications where MX4460 is listed as the rear cover assembly.
- SwingSmart CNX models where the parts diagram lists "Cover, Rear Assembly, SwingSmart CNX - MX4460."
- Repairs where the original rear cover assembly is marked, listed, or cross-referenced as HySecurity MX4460.
- Applications where the cover style, side brackets, reset switch arrangement, and mounting points match the original installation.
Important Compatibility Warning
Do not order MX4460 based only on the wording "SwingSmart" or "rear cover." The user-provided description references SwingSmart 535, but current part-number matches identify MX4460 as a SwingSmart CNX rear cover assembly. SwingSmart CNX, SwingSmart DC, and SwingSmart 535 operator families may use different covers and hardware depending on model generation.
Before ordering, compare the existing cover, operator label, serial number, cabinet style, reset switch location, side brackets, and parts diagram. If the operator is a SwingSmart 535, verify that the parts diagram specifically lists MX4460 before using this part.

Related Parts and Accessories
The correct related parts depend on the operator model, cabinet style, and the reason the rear cover is being replaced. Inspect the operator enclosure and reset switch area before ordering only the cover assembly.
- MX4465 front cover assembly - related SwingSmart CNX cover part, not the same as MX4460.
- Reset switch replacement kit - related reset switch service part, not the same as the full rear cover assembly.
- Side brackets - commonly listed as included with MX4460, but verify current package contents.
- Mounting screws, wing nuts, or cabinet fasteners - may be reused or may need replacement depending on condition.
- Top cap and knob parts - separate cover-area components and not automatically included.
- Controller, power supply, and internal electronics - inspect for moisture exposure if the cover was missing or damaged.
Technician Note
Before replacing the rear cover assembly, inspect the operator cabinet for impact damage, bent brackets, stripped fasteners, cracked mounting points, missing screws, damaged reset switch wiring, and water intrusion. If the old cover was broken or missing, check the internal electronics and power components for corrosion or moisture damage before returning the operator to service.
If the repair is for a SwingSmart 535, do not rely on the part description alone. Confirm that MX4460 is shown on the SwingSmart 535 parts diagram for that serial number. Current part-number matches point strongly to SwingSmart CNX, so model verification is important.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The required part number is MX4460.
- The operator is a HySecurity SwingSmart CNX model, or the parts diagram specifically lists MX4460 for the installed operator.
- If the operator is a SwingSmart 535, the current parts diagram confirms MX4460 before ordering.
- The repair requires the rear cover assembly, not the front cover, top cap, or reset switch-only kit.
- The reset switch arrangement and side bracket style match the original cover assembly.
- The mounting points, screws, brackets, and cabinet structure are not damaged beyond cover replacement.
- The package includes the expected side brackets and reset switch.
- The operator interior has been checked for water, corrosion, or impact damage if the cover was broken or missing.
Installation and Service Notes
- Turn off and secure operator power before servicing the cover area or reset switch wiring.
- Do not pinch, cut, or misroute reset switch wiring during cover installation.
- Check that the cover seats properly and does not interfere with internal components.
- Verify that side brackets and mounting hardware are secure.
- Do not force a cover that does not match the chassis or mounting points.
- After installation, verify the reset switch function and normal operator operation.
- Confirm all required safety devices remain connected and operating properly.
Professional Advisory
A qualified gate technician is recommended if the rear cover damage is related to impact, water intrusion, electrical damage, reset switch failure, cabinet deformation, or unknown prior modifications. Do not bypass the reset switch, stop circuit, controller protections, limit controls, photo eyes, safety edges, inherent entrapment protection, or any required safety device to keep the operator running.
Product Questions & Answers
What is HySecurity MX4460?
HySecurity MX4460 is a rear cover assembly commonly listed for SwingSmart CNX gate operator applications. Current listings describe it as including side brackets and a reset switch.
The provided description references SwingSmart 535, but current part-number matches identify MX4460 for SwingSmart CNX. Use MX4460 on SwingSmart 535 only if the parts diagram for that operator specifically lists this part number.
Does this rear cover assembly include the reset switch?
Current listings commonly describe MX4460 as including side brackets and a reset switch. Package contents should still be verified before ordering because service packaging can change.
Is MX4460 the same as MX4465?
No. MX4460 is the rear cover assembly, while MX4465 is commonly listed as the front cover assembly for SwingSmart CNX. They should not be treated as interchangeable.
Is MX4460 only a reset switch replacement?
No. MX4460 is a rear cover assembly. If only the reset switch is damaged, verify whether a reset switch replacement kit is the correct part instead of replacing the full cover assembly.
What should be checked before replacing the rear cover?
Check the operator model, serial number, cabinet condition, mounting points, side brackets, reset switch wiring, fasteners, and parts diagram. If the cover was broken or missing, also inspect the operator for water or corrosion damage.
Can I force this cover onto a different SwingSmart model?
No. Do not force a cover onto a different chassis or generation. A mismatched cover can damage mounting points, pinch wiring, leave gaps, or interfere with the reset switch and internal components.
