Transmitter Solutions RECTSSELDR318MS 318 MHz 2-Relay Receiver Compatibility Details
The Transmitter Solutions RECTSSELDR318MS is a HIVE 318 MHz stand-alone indoor receiver identified for Linear-compatible radio applications. The receiver provides two control channels and is intended for compatible gate, garage door, automatic door, and other approved equipment using receiver relay inputs.
Current Transmitter Solutions documentation identifies the broader product as the Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior Receiver with manufacturer family part number RECOMMSTAIND. The current page documents a 318 MHz version with 44-memory capacity, two channels, interior installation, and 12/24 VAC/DC power.
The exact RECTSSELDR318MS SKU is not separately printed on the current public manufacturer page. Verify the physical receiver label when replacing an existing receiver or matching a specific catalog configuration.
What the RECTSSELDR318MS Receiver Does
The receiver learns compatible 318 MHz transmitter credentials and uses its two receiver channels to provide control outputs for connected equipment. A supported transmitter button can be associated with a receiver function according to the receiver's programming and relay configuration.
This is a stand-alone receiver. It should not be confused with a Wiegand receiver that sends DATA0 and DATA1 credential information to a separate access control panel.
For gate or garage applications, connect the receiver only to the operator's documented radio, access, or dry-contact control input. Do not use receiver wiring to bypass required safety devices or operator safety circuits.

318 MHz Linear Compatible Application
The RECTSSELDR318MS catalog configuration is identified for Linear-compatible 318 MHz transmitter systems. Matching 318 MHz frequency alone does not prove compatibility because Transmitter Solutions also documents DoorKing-compatible and DIP-switch 318 MHz transmitter families.
Verify the transmitter protocol and existing remote model before ordering. Do not substitute a DoorKing-compatible 318 MHz DOP transmitter or a 318 MHz DIP-switch transmitter based only on frequency.

These are current manufacturer-documented Linear compatibility references for the individual transmitter models. Current public Transmitter Solutions documentation does not provide a direct RECTSSELDR318MS compatibility matrix listing every LIP transmitter above as a guaranteed receiver pairing. Verify the physical receiver label and existing transmitter protocol before ordering remotes.
44-Memory 318 MHz Receiver Capacity
The current Transmitter Solutions Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior receiver page identifies the 318 MHz version with 44-memory capacity.
Do not confuse this with the 433 MHz version of the same receiver family, which the manufacturer identifies with 85-memory capacity.
The public manufacturer page does not define whether the 44-memory specification counts complete remotes, transmitter codes, or individual programmed button functions. For larger installations, confirm the programming requirements and available receiver capacity before adding a large block of transmitters.
Two Relay Channels
The RECTSSELDR318MS catalog description identifies a two-relay receiver, and the current manufacturer page identifies the product family as a two-channel receiver.
Exact public relay contact details for the 318 MHz version could not be fully confirmed. The manual currently linked from the manufacturer Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior receiver page is a 433 MHz SEL2641R433-IP manual and should not automatically be used as the exact relay specification or wiring manual for the 318 MHz RECTSSELDR318MS.
Verify the printed COM, NO, NC, relay, and power terminal labels on the physical 318 MHz receiver before moving existing wiring.
Important Manufacturer Manual Generation Difference
The current Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior receiver page documents both 318 MHz and 433 MHz versions but links to a manual identified as SEL2641R433-IP. That manual specifically documents a 433.92 MHz receiver with 85 memory positions.
Do not transfer the 433 MHz manual's 85-memory specification, exact relay terminal arrangement, timed relay programming, or radio specifications directly to RECTSSELDR318MS. The current manufacturer product page separately identifies the 318 MHz receiver version with 44 memory.
12/24 VAC/DC Power
Current manufacturer documentation identifies the Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior receiver for 12/24 VAC/DC power.
Verify the available control voltage and printed receiver power terminals before installation. Do not connect mains voltage directly to the receiver.
When the existing transformer output, access control power, or operator accessory voltage is unclear, use a qualified gate, garage, automatic door, or low-voltage technician.
Indoor Receiver Application
Transmitter Solutions identifies this receiver family as an interior model. Install the receiver in a protected indoor location or a suitable enclosure when the installation environment requires additional weather protection.
Do not assume the receiver is equivalent to the HIVE Mini Outdoor IP65 receiver family. An exterior gate operator cabinet can still expose a receiver to condensation, irrigation, insects, and water intrusion depending on the enclosure and installation.
Antenna and Range Service Checks
Exact current public antenna package and range specifications for the 318 MHz RECTSSELDR318MS configuration could not be fully confirmed.
Before replacing a receiver for poor range, check:
- Transmitter battery condition
- Exact 318 MHz transmitter protocol
- Receiver power
- Antenna connection
- Remote antenna or coax condition when installed
- Receiver position
- Nearby metal or electrical equipment
- Radio interference
A transmitter can light normally and still have a weak battery or radio problem. A damaged antenna or incompatible 318 MHz transmitter can also make a good receiver appear defective.
Similar 318 MHz HIVE Receivers Are Not Automatically Interchangeable
- RECTSSELDR318MS is identified as an indoor 318 MHz stand-alone two-relay Linear-compatible receiver configuration.
- HIVE318WSA is a separate one-channel programmable receiver with 1,000-user capacity, LCD programming, and Linear MegaCode transmitter compatibility.
- RECTSWIE318-L is a 26-bit Wiegand receiver and does not provide the same stand-alone two-relay architecture.
- RECTSWIE318-D is identified as a DoorKing-compatible 318 MHz Wiegand receiver configuration.
- HIVE-500+ is a separate two-relay receiver with 500-transmitter memory.
- HIVE-1000 is a separate 318 MHz and 433 MHz Bluetooth-managed two-relay receiver.
- A 318 MHz DIP-switch receiver should not be substituted for a programmable Linear-compatible receiver solely because the frequency matches.

Package Contents Require Confirmation
Current public Transmitter Solutions documentation for the Stand Alone 2 Channel Interior receiver does not provide a complete package inventory for RECTSSELDR318MS.
Do not assume transmitters, a remote coax antenna kit, power transformer, gate operator, garage door operator, or other control equipment are included. Verify the exact package and existing antenna arrangement before ordering accessories.
Technician Note
The biggest ordering mistake with RECTSSELDR318MS is seeing "318 MHz" and assuming every 318 MHz Linear, DoorKing, or DIP-switch remote will work. This catalog configuration is identified for Linear compatibility. Match the actual transmitter protocol and receiver label. Also do not use the 85-memory specification from the 433 MHz manual - the current manufacturer page specifically lists 44 memory for the 318 MHz interior receiver.
Before Ordering Checklist
- Verify the catalog part number RECTSSELDR318MS.
- Check the physical receiver label and board revision.
- Confirm the receiver is the 318 MHz interior two-channel configuration.
- Verify that the Linear-compatible radio application is required.
- Identify the exact existing transmitter part number.
- Do not order a DoorKing-compatible DOP transmitter based only on 318 MHz frequency.
- Do not order a DIP-switch transmitter unless exact compatibility is confirmed.
- Confirm the 44-memory capacity is sufficient.
- Verify both required relay channel functions.
- Check the printed relay terminal labels before moving wiring.
- Confirm 12/24 VAC/DC power is available.
- Inspect the antenna and coax arrangement when applicable.
- Confirm the exact package contents before ordering accessories.
Installation and Service Notes
Document both receiver channel functions before replacing an existing two-relay receiver. A one-channel receiver or Wiegand receiver may operate on 318 MHz but will not reproduce the same stand-alone control architecture.
Verify the physical relay and power terminal markings before moving wiring. The current manufacturer page links to a 433 MHz manual, so the 433 MHz terminal and programming details should not automatically be transferred to the 318 MHz RECTSSELDR318MS.
For unknown operator wiring, damaged low-voltage power circuits, or relay connections that are not clearly identified, use a qualified gate, garage, automatic door, or access control technician. Do not bypass photo eyes, monitored safety edges, entrapment protection, door reversal systems, emergency access, or other required safety circuits.
