HySecurity MX5860, WHEEL KIT, REPLACEMENT, 8" AL W/LUG NUTS, 10PK
The HySecurity MX5860 is an 8 inch aluminum replacement wheel kit with lug nuts for select HySecurity / Nice HySecurity SlideDriver gate operators. This kit is supplied as a 10 pack and is intended for service work where multiple compatible 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive wheels are being replaced or stocked for future maintenance.
The AL in the product description refers to aluminum. This is important because HySecurity has used different drive wheel styles across SlideDriver operator generations. The MX5860 should be matched to operators using the correct 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive wheel setup, not ordered as a general replacement for every 8 inch HySecurity drive wheel.
What This AdvanceDrive Wheel Kit Does
The drive wheel is the contact point between the SlideDriver operator and the gate drive rail. When the wheel is in good condition, properly installed, and matched to the correct hub and rail setup, it helps the operator move the slide gate smoothly with reliable traction.
A worn, damaged, glazed, loose, or incorrect drive wheel can cause slipping, poor movement, uneven travel, noise, nuisance faults, or premature wear on other drive components. The MX5860 kit provides multiple 8 inch aluminum replacement wheels with lug nuts for compatible AdvanceDrive service applications.
Compatible With
This kit may be used with the following applications where the current HySecurity parts diagram confirms fitment:
- Select HySecurity SlideDriver operator models using 8 inch AdvanceDrive wheels
- SlideDriver applications where the current parts diagram lists an 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive wheel replacement
- Repairs where the existing wheel style, wheel diameter, and hub setup match the 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive wheel configuration
- Service work where the existing wheel hub is reusable and only the wheel and lug nuts are being replaced
- Commercial and industrial slide gate sites maintaining multiple compatible 8 inch AdvanceDrive wheel assemblies
Important: Do not assume this kit fits every HySecurity SlideDriver operator. Some units use XtremeDrive wheels, older wheel assemblies, 6 inch wheels, or complete wheel-and-hub kits. Confirm the operator model, serial number, drive wheel system, hub style, and parts diagram before ordering.
Similar Parts That Are Not Interchangeable
HySecurity drive wheel service parts can sound similar, but the drive system, wheel material, wheel diameter, hub design, and package contents matter. The MX5860 should not be substituted for XtremeDrive wheels or hub kits unless the current HySecurity documentation confirms the match.

Not Intended For
- SlideDriver operators using 8 inch XtremeDrive wheels
- SlideDriver operators using 6 inch XtremeDrive wheels
- Applications requiring a complete wheel-and-hub kit instead of wheel-only replacement
- Operators with worn, damaged, loose, or incorrect wheel hubs that must be replaced
- Swing gate, barrier arm, wedge, bollard, or non-SlideDriver operator applications
- General-purpose aluminum wheel replacement outside the listed HySecurity drive system
Important Compatibility Warning
The MX5860 kit is for 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive-style wheel replacement. It should not be ordered as a substitute for an 8 inch XtremeDrive wheel kit just because both are 8 inch HySecurity drive wheels. The wheel profile, drive system, hub arrangement, and service hardware must match the operator.
HySecurity documentation notes that newer 8 inch aluminum AdvanceDrive wheels are compatible with wheel hubs previously used with plastic wheels when the correct longer lug nuts are used. If the existing installation has older plastic wheels, retaining plates, worn hubs, or missing hardware, verify whether the repair calls for wheel-only service or a complete wheel-and-hub kit.

Technician Note
Before replacing the MX5860 wheels, inspect the complete drive assembly. A wheel that wears quickly or slips under load may be reacting to a separate issue such as a rough drive rail, gate drag, poor operator alignment, worn hub hardware, loose lug nuts, incorrect wheel contact, or hydraulic drive problems.
If the operator originally used older plastic AdvanceDrive wheels or a retaining plate arrangement, compare the existing hardware against the current HySecurity service instructions. The aluminum wheel design may use different lug nuts and may not require the old retaining plate setup. Do not reuse worn or incorrect lug nuts.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- The original or required part number is MX5860.
- The operator uses 8 inch AdvanceDrive aluminum wheel replacements.
- The operator model and serial number match a HySecurity parts diagram that supports this wheel kit.
- The existing drive system is not XtremeDrive.
- The existing wheels are not 6 inch wheels.
- The existing hubs are reusable and do not need to be replaced.
- The repair requires a 10 pack quantity.
- The included lug nuts match the current wheel and hub setup.
- The drive rail is clean, straight, and not causing premature wheel wear.
- The gate moves freely and is not binding before replacing the wheels.
Installation and Service Notes
- Disconnect power and follow proper lockout procedures before servicing the operator.
- Secure the gate before working near drive wheels, rails, hubs, or moving operator components.
- Inspect the hub, shaft, key, clamping screw, bolt, washer, and lug nut seating before installing new wheels.
- Use current HySecurity service instructions for torque values, lug nut selection, and hardware setup.
- Do not reuse rounded, cross-threaded, short, or worn lug nuts.
- After replacement, check wheel-to-rail contact, gate travel, drive performance, and safety device operation.
- Do not force the operator to run if the gate is dragging, binding, or slipping after the wheel replacement.
Professional Advisory
Drive wheel replacement on a heavy slide gate operator should be handled carefully. If the repair involves hydraulic drive pressure, heavy gate movement, worn drive rail, wheel hub removal, shaft hardware, gate alignment, or a gate that is unsafe to move, service should be performed by a qualified gate technician.
Do not bypass safety devices, guards, controller protections, limits, covers, or operator interlocks to test the gate. A slipping, binding, or poorly aligned slide gate can become hazardous if the drive system is forced to run without correcting the mechanical issue.
