AES ETRANS50, eLoop Transceiver - 1x Relay Output N/O Only - LED Indicators
The AES ETRANS50 is a single-channel e-Loop transceiver designed for select AES wireless vehicle detection, remote control, keypad, and access control applications. It operates on 433.39 MHz and provides one relay output with COM and normally open terminals for triggering a compatible gate operator, access control input, or other approved low-voltage control circuit.
This transceiver is commonly used when an AES e-Loop, AES E-TX remote, AES wireless keypad, or related compatible AES wireless device needs to send a signal to the gate operator without running a control wire from the device location back to the operator cabinet. It is a compact, low-current receiver/transceiver solution with LED indicators for setup and status feedback.
What This Transceiver Does
The ETRANS50 receives compatible AES wireless signals and converts them into a single relay output. Depending on the programmed mode and the connected equipment, that relay may be used for a momentary open command, a hold command, or a latched output where the application supports that style of operation.
- Receives compatible AES 433.39 MHz wireless signals
- Provides one relay output with COM and N/O terminals
- Supports Pulse, Latch, and Hold operating modes
- Uses LED indicators for programming and status feedback
- Can be used in select AES e-Loop, keypad, remote, and entry button applications
- Provides a compact transceiver option where only one relay output is required
Compatible With
The AES ETRANS50 may be used with select AES e-Loop and wireless access control products where the installed system documentation calls for the ETRANS50 transceiver. Always verify the exact product family, frequency, relay requirement, and package configuration before ordering.
- Select AES e-Loop wireless vehicle detection systems where ETRANS50 is listed as the transceiver
- Select AES e-Loop Mini, commercial e-Loop, inground e-Loop, and post-mount e-Loop kits where the kit or parts list specifies ETRANS50
- AES E-TX remote transmitters where the ETRANS50 is the intended compatible transceiver
- Select AES e-Keypad applications where the system is designed to communicate with an AES e-Loop transceiver
- Select AES entry button or wireless trigger applications where the documentation confirms ETRANS50 support
- Applications requiring one normally open relay output from a compatible AES wireless device
- Installations where the gate operator or control device has a proper low-voltage input for the ETRANS50 relay output
Important Compatibility Warning
The ETRANS50 is not a universal gate receiver and should not be selected by appearance alone. It is a single-channel AES e-Loop transceiver with one COM and normally open relay output. If the application requires two relay outputs, normally closed contacts, LCD programming, individual remote management, higher user storage, or advanced programming features, another AES transceiver may be required.
- Use only with compatible AES 433.39 MHz e-Loop range products where supported.
- Do not confuse ETRANS50 with ETRANS100, ETRANS200, E-Trans-Plus, E-TX, or EDR00.
- Confirm whether your installation needs N/O only or both N/O and N/C relay contacts.
- Confirm the connected gate operator input supports the intended relay function.
- Confirm whether you need the transceiver only or a complete kit with remote, keypad, antenna, e-Loop, magnet, or mounting hardware.
- Verify current pairing capacity if multiple e-Loops, keypads, entry buttons, or remotes will be programmed.

Technician Note
When replacing or adding an ETRANS50, confirm the job only needs one normally open relay output. Many service issues come from ordering the single-channel ETRANS50 when the system actually needs a two-channel transceiver, an LCD transceiver, a different relay contact type, or a transmitter rather than the receiver/transceiver.
Also check the wiring path and the gate operator input before condemning the transceiver. A no-open condition may be caused by programming loss, weak signal, antenna placement, incorrect relay mode, low power supply voltage, damaged field wiring, a bad operator input, or an issue with the paired e-Loop, keypad, remote, or entry button.
Before Ordering, Confirm
- Confirm the exact part number is ETRANS50.
- Confirm your system uses AES 433.39 MHz e-Loop range products.
- Confirm the installation only requires one relay output.
- Confirm the gate operator or access control input can use a COM/N/O relay contact.
- Confirm the input voltage available at the installation is within the required range.
- Confirm whether Pulse, Latch, or Hold mode is needed for the application.
- Confirm whether you need the transceiver only or a full kit with remotes, e-Loop sensor, keypad, antenna, magnet, or mounting hardware.
- Confirm antenna needs if the installation has distance, obstruction, cabinet, or range concerns.
- Confirm current programming capacity if multiple remotes, e-Loops, keypads, or entry buttons will be paired.
- Confirm the issue is not caused by a failed remote, keypad, e-Loop sensor, antenna, power supply, operator input, or field wiring.
Installation and Service Notes
- Mount the transceiver in a protected location suitable for the gate operator or access control installation.
- Keep antenna placement, metal enclosures, obstructions, and line-of-sight conditions in mind when troubleshooting range.
- Use the relay output only with an appropriate low-voltage control input unless the equipment documentation states otherwise.
- Do not use the relay output to switch gate motor power, high-voltage loads, or circuits outside the relay rating.
- After programming, test the connected e-Loop, remote, keypad, or entry button through several normal gate cycles.
- Verify that all required gate safety devices still operate correctly after service.
Professional Advisory
Gate operator relay wiring, access control inputs, vehicle detection devices, and safety circuits should be serviced by a qualified gate or access control technician when the wiring is unclear, the system has been modified, or the equipment controls a moving gate. Do not bypass photo eyes, safety edges, monitored entrapment protection, safety loops, emergency access equipment, or any required gate safety device to make a transceiver appear to work.
Product Questions & Answers
Is the AES ETRANS50 a receiver or a transmitter?
The AES ETRANS50 is the receiving transceiver used with select AES e-Loop range wireless devices. It receives compatible AES wireless signals and provides one relay output. It should not be confused with the AES E-TX handheld transmitter.
Does the AES ETRANS50 have both N/O and N/C relay outputs?
No. The ETRANS50 is a single-channel transceiver with one COM and N/O relay output. If the installation requires N/C contacts, multiple relays, or LCD-based programming, compare the current ETRANS50 listing with the appropriate AES ETRANS100 or ETRANS200 documentation before ordering.
What frequency does the AES ETRANS50 use?
The AES ETRANS50 is commonly listed as a 433.39 MHz e-Loop transceiver. The paired remote, keypad, entry button, or e-Loop device must be part of the compatible AES wireless system and must be programmed correctly to the transceiver.
Can the AES ETRANS50 be used with AES e-Loop sensors?
Yes, the ETRANS50 is commonly associated with select AES e-Loop vehicle detection kits and accessories. Verify that your specific e-Loop model or kit calls for the ETRANS50 and confirm whether the application is exit, presence, keypad, remote, or entry-button control.
Is the AES ETRANS50 the same as the ETRANS100 or ETRANS200?
No. The ETRANS50, ETRANS100, and ETRANS200 are related AES transceiver products, but they are not automatically interchangeable. The ETRANS50 is the single-relay LED-indicator version, while other models may provide additional relay outputs, contact options, LCD display, or expanded programming features.
Does this item include remotes, an e-Loop sensor, or an antenna?
This listing should be treated as the ETRANS50 transceiver only unless the product title or kit description specifically states that remotes, an e-Loop sensor, antenna, magnet, mounting hardware, or other accessories are included. Confirm package contents before ordering for a repair or new installation.
What should be checked before replacing an AES ETRANS50?
Before replacing the ETRANS50, check power, programming, antenna condition, relay mode, gate operator input, paired device battery, and field wiring. A failed e-Loop sensor, remote, keypad, antenna issue, or operator input problem can cause symptoms that look like a bad transceiver.
